A very special day here at The Hayes. 🎉

We held a surprise 80th birthday for our lovely Val who works as a dedicated night care assistant. She worked as a community carer in Dorset for years before joining the team here, 25 years Val has spent caring with pure kindness. ❤️

Val arrived today thinking she was coming in for training, only to be met with a surprise party in her honour. 🎉 🎁 🎂 🎈

It was so special to see so many past and present staff members join us, showing just how loved and respected Val is. There was cake, lots of laughter and memories shared ☺️😍

The rest of the day today was spent preparing gifts for our amazing carers for carers week ❤️

We spent time writing a fantastic poem to be handed out to ALL who work in The Hayes. This was such a heart warming session hearing all the love for ALL the staff here. I feel the last line of the poem really says it all, "for all you do and all you give, you help us smile and truly live" 😍

What a fantastic stronger for longer session we had today 🥰

The room was full of music, laughter and movement. We enjoyed lots of seated dancing together, proving that all movement is movement and every little bit counts towards keeping our bodies active and our spirits lifted 🎵

The best part of today's session? Seeing everyone leave with a smile on their face. ☺️ That is always our main aim 🎯

Happy World Environment day 🌷🌼🌻

A big Friday shout out to Barbara one of the lovely people we support and also our nominated head gardener. Barbara has worked incredibly hard weeding, planting and watering alongside our gardening club.
Barbara was out at 9am tending to the flower beds and filling up the bird feeders 🌹🌻 if anyone deserves a shout out on World Environment day it's Barbara 🏆

After a busy day yesterday we were in need of a quieter day. So this morning we went back in time with reminiscence, famous face themed. A very nostalgic morning full of stories and laughter.🥰

We finished the day with some relaxation and meditation in the salon. A guided meditation, foot and hand massages were well received. We all left feeling very relaxed 🧘

We held an amazing celebration afternoon. Thank you to all who supported our challenge 😍
We had an indoor bbq (thanks to the great British weather ☔ ) and a party with Elvis before a presentation of the cheque to Nat a representative of Team Torri and certificates and medal badges given to all who took part 🏅

We are so close to our £1000 target for Team Torri. Our sponsor forms and raffle squares can be found in the reception area. Raffle will be drawn at the event. 😍
