Barbara enjoyed a wonderful day at Abbey View 🎶☀️

After spending time singing with Fiona, our Music Partner, in preparation for the pop-up choir, she headed into the garden to enjoy the sunshine and some friendly conversation.

As Barbara put it: “I have really enjoyed my day!” 😊

Residents celebrated World Bee Day by building a bee hotel for the garden 🐝🌿

Using recycled tins and dried materials collected outdoors, the group created a new spot for solitary bees to settle among the flower beds.

As the afternoon went on, there was plenty of conversation, careful arranging, and admiration for everyone’s handiwork.

The chilly weather didn’t stop residents at Abbey View from enjoying a taste of all things tropical this week.

Our World Cocktail Day celebration introduced everyone to the Dom Pedro. It proved so popular that Rose was soon asking, “Please, may I have some more?”, while Liz declared, “It was delicious!”

For those opting for something more familiar, a refreshing Pimm’s with fresh fruit was also on offer.

With sombreros, Caribbean music and plenty of conversation, it was a wonderfully sociable afternoon 🍹☀️
