Choosing between two fillers for the same patient? Two questions help.

First, what does the area need most: refining, shaping or lifting?
Then, what is the tissue like? In thinner skin or a more mobile area, the softer option is usually more forgiving. Where you need support against movement and gravity, the firmer gel will hold its shape better.

Soft, natural lips that still look like their own.

This lip enhancement was done by Dr Amrit Thiara (.thiara) of .aesthetics using 0.70 ml of M2 Plus, placed with a needle. The after photos were taken straight after treatment, on the same day.

M2 Plus is the softest gel in our M Series, with the lowest G′ and the highest phase angle in the range. It moves with the lips rather than against them, which is why it suits subtle definition and a natural shape, even when smiling.

Our numbers don't lie: two numbers that tell you how a filler will behave.

G′ (G prime) is firmness: how strongly a gel resists being pressed out of shape. The higher it is, the more lift and support you get.

Phase angle tells you whether a gel springs back or flows. A low phase angle holds its shape. A higher one spreads and moulds with the tissue.

Read them together and the M Series makes sense:

M2 Plus: G′ 37 Pa, phase angle 28.5°. Soft and flexible, for superficial, delicate work.
M3 Plus: G′ 166 Pa, phase angle 13.1°. Shape that still blends.
M4 Plus: G′ 254 Pa, phase angle 9.1°. Firm and elastic, so small volumes lift and project.

Same HA, 24 mg/mL. Different rheology, so each one has its own job.

Rested and refreshed. Still him.

This full-face rejuvenation was done by Dr Amrit Thiara (.thiara) of .aesthetics, using 6 to 7 ml in total of M4 Plus, placed with a needle, and M3 Plus, placed with a cannula. The after photo was taken immediately after treatment, on the same day.

Why two different fillers? M4 Plus is the firmest in our M Series, so it gives deep structure and support. M3 Plus is a medium density gel that shapes and blends, which suits softer transitions. Choosing the right rheology for each depth is what keeps a result natural, especially in men, where the aim is a fresher face, not a different one.

Which M, which depth? Save this one for your next clinic day.

All three products in our M Series share the same HA concentration. What changes is the rheology, and that's what decides where each one sits best.

M2 Plus: subcutaneous. Soft and subtle, for fine lines and gentle lip definition.
M3 Plus: subcutaneous and deep fat. Shape and structure, for folds, marionettes, chin and lips.
M4 Plus: deep fat, or on the bone. Lift and projection, for cheeks, jawline, chin and nose.

M4 Plus is the firmest gel in our M Series, with the highest G′ and the lowest phase angle in the range. That means it holds its shape well, so you can lift and straighten the profile with a very small volume.

One of the questions we hear most from practitioners: which M goes where?
