Today we had the honour of leading Lynda on her final journey to Oakfield Crematorium. A truly beautiful and personal service led by her wonderful family and friends, filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, tears and precious memories of a lady who was so deeply loved by all who knew her.
Every tribute shared painted a picture of a kind, caring and unforgettable woman whose love and warmth will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
It was a privilege for us at Serenity Funeral Service to support Lynda’s loved ones in giving her the farewell she truly deserved. 🤍

Pets are family too ❤️
We will always welcome pets to attend our funeral home and the funeral services too, because sometimes our fur babies need their chance to say goodbye just as much as we do. Their presence can bring great comfort, love, and a sense of peace to grieving families during such a difficult time.
Most crematoriums and churches are happy to allow pets to attend, and we will always check arrangements beforehand to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Funerals should be personal, meaningful, and reflective of the life and love shared and for many families, that includes their beloved pets.

On Thursday we held a simple farewell service at our local crematorium a gentle option that sits somewhere between a direct cremation and a traditional funeral service.
With up to 15 mourners in attendance, no minister led ceremony, and guidance from our caring funeral director and team throughout, the family were able to have quiet, personal time to say goodbye in their own way.
Many people believe a direct cremation must always be unattended, but families do have options. For some, having that final moment together at the crematorium can bring comfort, reflection, and an important sense of closure during the grieving process.
Every goodbye is personal, and we believe families should have the choice to create a farewell that feels right for them and their loved one.

Another beautiful service today for the wonderful Justine, led with such warmth and care by the wonderful Sophie Harris. A service filled with heartfelt stories, touching tributes, and a sea of colourful flowers with everyone dressed in bright colours, just as Juss would have wanted. A true reflection of a life so beautifully lived.
Even her beloved pooch Winston joined us, a gentle reminder of the love and companionship that meant so much to her.
Today wasn’t about mourning in darkness, but celebrating in colour the yellows of her warmth, the blues of her calm, the pinks of her kindness, and the vibrant hues of a life full of love, laughter, and light.
A life remembered not in silence, but in colour. 🌸 Sophie Harris Celebrant Bedford Crematorium

Today we led Mrs Busby on her final journey to Huntingdon Crematorium. We sat, smiled, and listened to a life well lived full of travel, laughter, and deep love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and cherished memories. Though she will be greatly missed, she will never be forgotten.

Today, we gather to honour a devoted mother, a loving sister, a cherished friend, and a deeply respected lady within her community. Her life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unwavering love, touching all who had the privilege of knowing her.
This beautiful service, thoughtfully and lovingly crafted by her family, reflects the grace and warmth she carried throughout her life. With the gentle presence of white horses and the delicate, heartfelt melodies of the violin, we are reminded of her spirit elegant, peaceful, and enduring.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the memories we hold close. Today, we celebrate her life, her impact, and the lasting imprint she leaves on everyone’s hearts.

Today we had the privilege of taking a truly lovely gentleman on his final journey to the peaceful and beautiful surroundings of Keysoe Woodland Burial.
A heartfelt graveside service where we listened to the story of a life well lived from a young boy born in Belfast, to new beginnings in New Zealand, and ultimately finding his way home again here in England. A journey shaped by courage, adventure, and belonging.
There was something especially fitting about a green burial for him. Surrounded by nature, birdsong, and open skies, it offered a sense of calm, simplicity, and return back to the earth in the most gentle and natural way. A place where seasons will change, wildflowers will grow, and life will quietly continue around him. St. Albans Woodland Burial Trust Sophie Harris Celebrant

Today, we had the honour of taking Jenny on her final journey to her place of rest, reunited once more with her beloved husband, Graham.

The church was filled to capacity, a true reflection of just how loved and deeply respected Jenny was by all who knew her. The beautiful reading and heartfelt eulogy painted a picture of a life well lived full of kindness, warmth, and cherished memories.

Jenny had a true love for travelling, embracing the world with curiosity and joy, creating stories and moments that will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Rest in eternal peace, Jenny now reunited, and forever together 🤍

Wherever she wandered, she left a little light — now she shines beyond the horizon.✨✨
