It’s always nice to be appreciated and so we were incredibly grateful after a parent brought our Children Service’s staff a huge bunch of flowers as a thank you for caring for her children. 💐
Mum Jade – whose daughter Cara was a regular visitor to Children’s Services – presented the flowers to show her appreciation for the love, care and support Cara has received since being referred to us in 2011.
Jade’s son, James, who passed away a few years ago, was also cared for by our amazing team.
Jade said: “Thank you for everything you have done for Cara and James over the years. We have so many happy memories of them both enjoying their time with you. You gave them laughter, joy and very special memories together.
“We will never forget the love and support you gave us all to get through the passing of our beautiful, brave James. You all went above and beyond for us and you will all hold a very special place in our hearts.”
Our focus is very much on supporting young people to live their lives and to enjoy every experience they can. As part of our commitment to those in our care, Cara – who turns 18 later this month – will now transition into our Young Adult Unit where she will have day opportunities and respite care which will include plenty of fun – including baking cakes and pamper sessions from the massage therapist. 🌻
