Barry Training Services Ltd Specialist Training for Todays Industry Barry Training Services Ltd was established in 1990 primarily to deliver Lift Truck Training to the Private sector.

Based in Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, training is delivered throughout the UK and Europe. Client demand led to an expansion of the training offered. We now offer a variety of courses ranging from what are considered lightweight such as First Aid, Level 2 Food Hygiene, through to the heavier side of industry including Plant, Cranes. Fire, Confined Space, Dangerous Substance Driver Training and Health and Safety. This success can be attributed to a number of factors, not least our ability to tailor a course to suit clients' individual needs. We respond to training requests at very short notice anywhere in Mainland UK and via Europe, which includes the Republic of Ireland, Holland and Denmark. Most of the courses we offer can be delivered at the clients own premises subject to suitability and numbers, as all our instructors carry portable equipment e.g. camera, TV, Laptop, OHP etc. Plus many courses are now delivered via Powerpoint. Where possible, if clients require a course not listed we are happy to tailor a course to suit their own specific needs. Staff employed as trainers are accredited by the appropriate awarding bodies and hold the required assessor awards. New employees undergo the required training to achieve the Assessor Awards e.g. D32/D33/D34 (A Units) in line with their staff development plans.

We’ve been extremely busy at BTS over recent weeks and months, expanding both the range of qualifications we offer and the equipment available at our training centre.

We’re pleased to announce that we can now offer the following additional courses and qualifications:

✅ CISRS Scaffold Training (COTS, Awareness & Inspection)
✅ Construction Plant NVQs
✅ EUSR Water Hygiene (E-Learning)

What is PLA Funding?
The PLA is fully funded training to help you upskill and gain new qualifications, designed to help increase the amount you can earn. The courses approved have been designed to meet priority sectors

Eligibility
To be able to apply for PLA, you must; Be aged 19 or over, live and work in Wales and earn less than £34,303 per year. However, if you are at risk of redundancy or part of TATA or the supply chain, there is no salary cap

How to apply?
Contact a member of the team at BTS who'll make a referral to the PLA team for you. You'll then be sent a link so you can register your interest in PLA funded courses.
