An impactful piece for in Blidworth ⛏

VIY work with young people, helping them to develop trade skills, whilst renovating community spaces. The hall in Blidworth was built by miners and is still used at a community centre. So to honour the miners and the local area Phil went up to create this mural.

As well as painting the mural, we got the young people involved and they were given time to learn the basics of spray painting! A great team effort all round!

Community involvement at Swansea Mosque, St Helens! Madrasah students came up with designs relating to the mosque and their faith. Artist Alex then designed two pieces from these designs and facilitated a painting workshop for 282 participants!

We were given a brief by Child Services, Neath, which included a list of marine species that are local to the Port Talbot area. We then ran a design and graffiti workshop to get input from the public after which, artist Gemma then took the suggestions and painted boards to be displayed 😍 Funded by Neath Port Talbot Local Partnership through the Welsh Government Local Places for Nature Fund Neath Port Talbot Local Nature Partnership

The animals included in the mural are Grey seal, Small-spotted catshark, Plaice, Tope shark, Edible crab, Common starfish, Beadlet anemone, Snakelocks anemone, Serrated wrack, Sea lettuce, Northern gannet, Oystercatcher, Cockle shell, Limpet, Moon jellyfish, Barrel jellyfish, Sand eel 🦈🦭🦀
