💃🕺 What a wonderful afternoon at Ruby Lodge Care Home! ❤️

Our residents had a fantastic time taking part in a fun and energetic dance class led by the wonderful Jo. The session was made even more special by a visit from the lovely children at Lara Nursery, who joined in with smiles, laughter, and plenty of dancing!

These intergenerational activities are so valuable, bringing together older people and young children to create meaningful connections, build confidence, and share joyful experiences. It was heartwarming to see friendships blossom across the generations, with everyone encouraging one another and having lots of fun.

A huge thank you to Jo for leading such an engaging class and to the children and staff from Lara Nursery for making the morning so memorable. We can’t wait for our next get-together! 💜

✨ John’s Make a Wish Granted ✨

Resident John wished to experience flying a helicopter, and yesterday our team at Ruby Lodge Care Home helped make that wish come true with the support of Yorkshire Helicopters! 🚁💜

Joined by members of his family, John took to the skies over York, learned how the controls worked and even had the opportunity to pilot the helicopter himself.😊

John rated the experience an incredible 11/10 a truly unforgettable day filled with special memories!💜

What a truly wonderful day we shared at our Summer Songs in the Garden celebration! 💛

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented Finley Barrett-Carter for bringing such fantastic music, energy, and joy to our garden. Your performance had everyone singing along, smiling, and making memories to treasure.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our amazing Activities Team, our dedicated Carers, and our wonderful Hospitality Team. Your hard work, creativity, and care made the magic happen and created a beautiful afternoon for all our residents and their families to enjoy.

Seeing everyone come together, sharing laughter, music, and sunshine, reminded us what community is all about. ☀️🎶💐

❤️ Celebrating Love at Ruby Lodge ❤️

Today we had the pleasure of helping our resident, Alan, celebrate his wedding anniversary with his wonderful wife, Ann. 💐

Our team helped Alan create a beautiful anniversary card and gift a lovely bouquet of flowers for Ann, making sure their special day was filled with thoughtful touches.

The happy couple then enjoyed a delicious buffet in our fine dining room, where they enjoyed a stunning anniversary cake lovingly created by our talented kitchen team. A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic front of house team, who served the buffet and helped make the celebration so memorable for Alan, Ann and their wonderful family.

At Ruby Lodge, we believe every special occasion deserves to be celebrated. It’s moments like these that remind us how important it is to create meaningful memories for our residents and their loved ones.
