Massive congratulations to our very own Paul Turnbull, PACU Lead & Resuscitation Trainer, for taking on an incredible challenge in support of the fantastic charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Last weekend, Paul completed the ‘Mighty Hike’ — a 26.2 mile route around Ullswater in the Lake District.

In Paul’s own words: “Well that was hard! A marathon of hills, rocks, mist, wind, rain and sunshine — but great fun.”

JAG accreditation is granted to endoscopy services that meet the quality benchmarks established by the Royal College of Physicians’ Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, following an independent evaluation.

This accreditation programme focuses on both patient care and workforce development, recognising services that consistently achieve high standards of clinical best practice.

To gain accreditation, endoscopy units must show ongoing commitment to improving the quality and safety of care, ensuring a positive patient experience, offering strong training and professional development for staff, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for both patients and employees.
