Our employees of the month for April and May. Kelly (Care Assistant), Neelam (Care Assistant) and Sama (Team Leader) were our April winners and Stewart (Kitchen Assistant) was our May winner. A huge Congratulations and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. 🥳

Residents, Staff and Families are all welcome to vote each month. Nomination paperwork is on the table when you come into the cafe area at the back door. Nominations should be put in the box outside the managers office. Thank you 🤩

Yesterday afternoon we had the pleasure of welcoming ‘True colours’. It was such a great day but also a sad one as this was their last performance with us, as at the end of the year they are retiring. Thank you for keeping us entertained and everyone in QVH wishes you all a wonderful retirement 🥳.

This morning we made our first ‘Baking Memory Box’ the residents filled it with things they would use in your kitchen. It was a great talking point and brought back happy memories. Such a simple but enjoyable activity. Look at the beautiful box that we decorated with printed images. In the afternoon we welcomed the Vintage Church. Residents enjoyed singing along to the hymns, listening to the scripture and creating some craft pieces.

Today to honour Lorena we celebrated a part of her Italian history.
La festa della Repubblica (Republic Day) in Italy
It commemorates the historic national referendum held on the 2nd of June 1946. The Italian people voted to abolish the monarchy and establish a democratic republic in the aftermath of World War 2 and the fall of fascism.
Today we created our own pizzas, tried some Italian cakes and drinks all the while listening to 1950s Italian music. Lorena had prepared a talk teaching us a bit about her Italian culture and cuisine. 🇮🇹
