This graph stopped me in my tracks too.

One of the biggest misconceptions about menopause is that it all starts after your periods stop.
It doesn't.

Many symptoms begin during perimenopause, years before your final menstrual period. Brain fog, mood changes, sleep disruption, and hot flashes often increase during the transition, but they don't all peak at the same time.

And menopause isn't the finish line either. Some symptoms improve after menopause, while others, especially genitourinary symptoms like vaginal dryness, painful s*x, urinary urgency, and recurrent UTIs, often become more common and may continue to worsen without treatment.

Understanding when different symptoms are most likely to occur can help you recognize what's happening in your body, advocate for yourself, and know that many of these symptoms are treatable.

Which part of this graph surprised you the most?
