This is your Sunday evening reminder… šŸ¤

Most of the things you worry about never happen.

And the things that do?

You handle them šŸ’Æ

Every challenge you’ve faced.
Every setback.
Every storm.

You’re still here.

So stop putting your umbrella up when the sun is shining and don’t spend today worrying about a tomorrow that hasn’t arrived. ā˜‚ļø ā˜€ļø

Your track record for getting through difficult times is 100%.

Trust yourself a little more this week.

✨ The storm is not coming. And if it does, you’ll figure it out. ✨

I believe in YOU šŸ©·šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼āļøšŸ«¶šŸ¼

I nearly deleted this photo.

Not because of me…

Because Ernie decided that was the exact moment to stop for a wee. šŸ¶šŸ˜‚

Then I caught myself.

Why are we always trying to edit the real moments out of life?

We’re forever waiting for the perfect photo.
The perfect timing.
The perfect body.
The perfect circumstances.

But life isn’t perfect.

It’s dogs having a wee.

Wind blowing your hair everywhere.

People walking into the background.

Coffee spilled down your top.

Plans changing.

And somehow…

Those are usually the moments we laugh about the most.

One thing I’ve realised recently is that the happiest people I know aren’t living perfect lives.

They’re just not waiting for perfection before they enjoy them.

So here’s your reminder…

Take the photo anyway.

Post it anyway.

Go on the walk anyway.

Live the day anyway.

Because life isn’t happening once everything is perfect…

It’s happening right now.

šŸ¤

One thing I’ve realised recently…

I’ve never regretted doing the things that are good for me āļøšŸ„³

I’ve have regretted talking myself out of them.

Going for a walk.

Stepping onto my yoga mat.

Getting back to the gym.

Putting my phone down.

Cuddling my dog.

Taking a break.

It’s funny how our minds can convince us not to do the very things that help us feel better.

Because usually, the hardest part isn’t the walk, the workout or the rest…

It’s starting.

It’s choosing yourself 🩷

Almost every time I’ve ignored the voice telling me to stay where I am and instead taken that first step, I’ve finished feeling better than when I started.

Not because my problems disappeared…

But because I’d done something kind for myself.

So if you’re waiting until you ā€œfeel like itā€ā€¦

Maybe don’t.

Take the first step anyway.

Your future self will probably thank you for it. šŸ¤

šŸ–ļø I thought losing my b***s would ruin beach holidays…

Turns out, I was wrong.

Yes, there were some unexpected perks…

No b**b sweat.
No constantly adjusting my bikini.
No trying to keep two DDs where they belonged.
And as a 5’3ā€ woman… I hadn’t realised quite how much weight I’d literally been carrying around! šŸ˜…

But if I’m honest…

That wasn’t what I was worried about.

I was worried about being seen.

I wondered if people would stare.
If I’d feel different.
If I’d spend the whole holiday thinking about what was missing.

Instead…

I spent it thinking about the sea.
The sunshine.
The laughter.
The people I love.

And that’s when I realised something.

Most people aren’t looking at us anywhere near as much as we think they are.

They’re too busy living their own lives.

And maybe we should be too.

If you’re avoiding the beach because of scars, stretch marks, cellulite, a tummy, missing b***s, or anything else…

Please don’t let insecurity steal memories you’ll never get back.

The people who matter won’t care.

Wear the bikini.
Get in the sea.
Take the photo.

Because one day you won’t remember what your body looked like…

You’ll remember how your life felt.

And trust me…

Life is far too beautiful to spend it hiding. šŸ¤

Here’s what life has taught me … šŸŒ šŸ‘£
Sometimes, you just need to take your feet somewhere else šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡Ŗ

Not because it fixes everything.

But because sometimes a change of scenery creates a change of perspective.

The last couple of months I’ve stepped away from social media, spent time with people who fill my cup, breathed some sea air and reminded myself that healing isn’t something you have to perform.

It doesn’t always happen in hospitals or appointments.

Sometimes it happens walking on a beach.
Over coffee with a friend.
Laughing until your stomach hurts.
Watching a sunset.
Putting your phone away.
Remembering who you are outside of everything you’re going through.

This trip hasn’t changed my diagnosis.

It hasn’t magically removed the challenges ahead.

But it has reminded me that even when life throws something huge at you…

there is still life to be lived šŸ’Æ

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck…

Take your feet somewhere else.

A different beach.
A different cafƩ.
A different path.
A different conversation.

Sometimes the smallest change in where you stand changes what you can see.

And if there’s one thing this whole experience has taught me, it’s this:

Life is far too precious to spend all of it waiting for things to get better before you start living it!

I love you šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Like how some people disappear or ghost you when life gets hard.

How overworking yourself and constantly putting everyone else first isn’t actually something to be proud of.

And how quickly the things we complain about become the very things we desperately wish we could do again.

I cannot WAIT to:
Walk my dog on my own & hold the lead properly
Pick up dog poo šŸ˜… šŸ’©
Cook food
Hoover šŸ˜†
Carry washing
Wash the bathroom 🚽
And do all the boring little things I never thought twice about before!

Funny isn’t it?

The mundane things suddenly become privileges.

And experiences?
They matter even more than I already thought they did.

Not the stuff.
Not the image.
Not the nonsense we stress ourselves over.

šŸ‘‰ the moments
šŸ‘‰ the people
šŸ‘‰ the memories
šŸ‘‰ feeling alive

That’s the real stuff.

And honestly, I think life shakes us eventually one way or another.

The question is whether we wake up before it does.

Because you can spend years walking the wrong path, surrounded by the wrong people, chasing things that don’t actually matter to you…

until something forces you to stop and really look at your life.

And whilst I would never choose this…

it has changed my perspective in ways I never expected.

And honestly?

That perspective feels like one of the greatest gifts of all šŸ¤

Make sure YOU live fully today

Pain shows up in a lot of ways.

Not just the big things.
Not just the obvious moments.

šŸ‘‰ life, in general, can hurt sometimes.

āø»

But what if…

šŸ‘‰ we looked at it differently?

Not as something to avoid.
Not as something to fight constantly.

But as a reminder…

šŸ‘‰ that we’re alive
šŸ‘‰ that we’re feeling
šŸ‘‰ that we’re in it

āø»

Because the truth is…

The same capacity that allows us to feel pain
is the same capacity that allows us to feel:

šŸ‘‰ joy
šŸ‘‰ connection
šŸ‘‰ love

āø»

So maybe it’s not about wishing it away.

šŸ‘‰ maybe it’s about choosing how we see it.

āø»

Not easy.

But powerful.

Someone might need this perspective today šŸ™‚

Everyone talks about...

Staying positive.
Thinking differently.
Being strong.

But here’s what matters just as much…

šŸ‘‰ who you choose to do life with.

āø»

Because when life hits — and it will —

It’s not the highlight reel that gets you through.

It’s the person next to you.

The one who:
šŸ‘‰ shows up without being asked
šŸ‘‰ holds it together when you can’t
šŸ‘‰ stays when things aren’t easy

āø»

And I’ll be honest…

This didn’t suddenly become clear to me because of everything that’s happened.

šŸ‘‰ I already knew.

And that’s exactly why I chose him šŸ«¶šŸ¼

āø»

Not just for the good days.

šŸ‘‰ but for the ones (like ā€˜Kathy’) you don’t see coming

āø»

So if there’s one thing I’d say…

Don’t wait for life to test it
to realise who’s really in your corner.

Look now.

Choose wisely.

āø»

And if you’ve got that person?

šŸ‘‰ you’ve already won šŸ¤

Tag your person now & show them you’ve got them too šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼ šŸ¤

Not quite sure what I was thinking when I bought this dressing gown šŸ˜…

ā€˜Ready to party’ feels… optimistic.

I think we might have slightly different definitions right now.

Mine currently looks like:

šŸ‘‰ a quiet coffee
šŸ‘‰ short bursts of energy
šŸ‘‰ and being home before I even started

āø»

Also… thank you šŸ¤

For all the messages, the check-ins, and sticking with me while I’ve been a bit off the map.

I haven’t had the energy to reply to everyone
(and yes… my husband has definitely been drafted in — so thank you for liaising with him šŸ˜…)

But I’ve seen them, and they’ve meant a lot.

āø»

For now…

šŸ‘‰ this is my kind of party

And if you’re up for a very slow coffee date… you know where I am ā˜•ļøšŸ˜

Things people don’t tell you about recovery…

It’s not just physical.
It’s not quick.
And it definitely doesn’t end when the surgery does.

I’m still in it.

Still healing.
Still figuring it out.
Still having moments that feel harder than I expected.

And yes — I’m still positive.

But that doesn’t mean this is easy.

āø»

This is just the part people don’t always see.
And I’m not done yet šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼šŸ’ŖšŸ¼
