A month ago - Adrian who is an avid golfer, came for 3 sessions on his neck, shoulders & upper back.

Upon arrival on for his 3rd therapy session, Adrian said he had reduced his handicapped by 2 (hopefully I've said this right 😅), & was absolutely delighted. Has booked for his 4th therapy appointment.

He is playing 🏌️ better now because his neck had increased mobility. 💚

It is not unusual for our joints to make clicking, grinding, and popping sounds. Most of the time, those sounds are due to inflammation and are not mechanical in nature.

This is very hard for many people to grasp. It’s not intuitive. Physical therapists understand this all too well. Most Orthopedic Surgeons do not.

We strive far too often to try and find mechanical sources for pain. We offer surgery as an option far too quickly. Whereas we should spend more time educating and waiting.

This is a complicated topic to understand. It is counterintuitive, too. But it’s important to grasp. It could save you from unnecessary surgery and prevent you from stopping an exercise program because you think you’re wearing your joints out.
