ROAD CLOSURE - 29/07/2026 to 03/08/2026 0900 hours - 1530 hours

Priory Medical Centre have been informed that Cape Road will be closed between the hours of 0900 & 1500 hours from 29/07/2026 to 03/08/2026. This is so the road can be resurfaced in line with Warwickshire County Council plans.

Cape Road will be closed from the junction with Northgate through to the junction with Victoria Street. This will affect the exit road from the Car Park at Priory Medical Centre, Cape Road Clinic and Warwick Dermatology Centre. We have been advised that patients leaving the Priory Medical Centre car park will still be able to leave and drive down Cape Road, however the direction of travel and where patients can drive will be managed by the traffic marshalling team depending on where the road surfacing works are at that point.

Throughout this period, we ask all patients to consider alternative transportation methods to and from the practice, including, ride sharing, lifts from friends & family, public transport or walking.

Please bear with us throughout this period, there is nothing we can do at Priory Medical Centre, however we are working with the council to ensure as minimal disruption as possible.

IMPORTANT - PATIENT CLINICAL SYSTEM INTERMITTENT - 28/07/2026

We are aware of an issue affecting all South Warwickshire GP Practices and access to the patient clinical system (EMIS). This means staff are having intermittent issues accessing patient records so cannot consult with patients fully or take details from patients without the system crashing.

This has been reported to our provider and is being looked at as a priority.

We will provide an update as soon as we can.

Please bear with us whilst this is looked into & normal service resumes.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NHS ADDRESS VERIFICATION COMMUNICATIONS

We are aware that some patients have recently received a request to confirm their home address. This communication may be sent by letter, email or text message as part of an NHS England programme to ensure patient records are accurate and up to date.

We would like to reassure patients that these communications are genuine and legitimate. NHS England regularly contacts patients to check that their address details are correct so that important health information reaches the right people.

For patients who receive a letter, the correspondence is sent by Primary Care Support England (PCSE) on behalf of NHS England.
