Mindfulness doesn’t always look mindful

Sometimes it’s just doing something you enjoy and actually being there while you’re doing it

Some of the things I do dial down the noise in my brain, get outside on a walk, solo cinema trips, taking time on my skincare routine, buying myself flowers, enjoying animals, noticing the magic of nature, celebrating Christmas in June (Junemas), eating the tastiest foods, choosing an incense scent for the day.

It doesn’t have to all be journalling, empty mind and silence, who says there are rules, but if there are… I e never been one to stick by them anyway 🤭🤍

Watched the waves coming in meet the ones heading back out this morning, crashing into each other, pulling in different directions, then somehow becoming calm again

I don’t know what the metaphor is yet, I just know it felt powerful, peaceful and a little bit cleansing
