On Saturday, our Northern Sales Representative, Scott Gordon, attended the National Association of Funeral Directors Scotland Education Day at Westerleigh Group East Lothian Crematorium, Edinburgh.

The event, proudly sponsored by ourselves, Coleman Milne , and Westerleigh Group , was extremely well attended and featured insightful presentations from Kindly Earth, the NAFD, Obitus, and representatives from the Scottish Parliament.

It was a fantastic day of learning, discussion, and collaboration across the funeral profession.

A special thank you to Tim Purves and Michelle Cuthell for organising such a successful event.

Nigel Green-Smith was pleased to spend time with Karren Rattigan, Funeral Partners Area Development Manager and Chair of the LAFD Southern District, at the GOALS 4 GOSH charity event.

The evening featured some fantastic auction items, including signed footballs and framed memorabilia, all helping to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charity. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces coming together to support such a meaningful cause.

Last week, Greg Cranfield, Managing Director, and Jamie Luckley, Marketing Manager, were invited to The Business Clinic at Northumbria University, where a group of students presented the results of a project they had been working on for us over the past few months.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Greg commented: “The outputs from this project have exceeded our expectations.”

Our Reflections Picture Coffins are thoughtfully designed with care, compassion, and attention to detail - and while the finished result looks seamless, there are several important steps involved behind the scenes to ensure every coffin is created perfectly.

Here’s a simple look at the process:

1. Choosing the Images
Families or funeral directors send us favourite photographs and memories they would like included in the design.

2. Personal Design Creation
Our specialist designers carefully arrange the images into a beautiful, balanced layout that tells a unique story.

3. Artwork Approval
A proof is provided for approval, giving families and funeral directors peace of mind before production begins, and the chance to make any amendments.

4. Precision Printing & Production
Once approved, the design is professionally printed and handcrafted onto the coffin with great care and respect.

5. Final Quality Checks
Every detail is checked thoroughly before the coffin leaves our factory, ensuring the highest standard for the final farewell.

From first photograph to finished tribute, every stage is handled safely, professionally, and compassionately by our experienced team.
