💉 Flu & COVID-19 Vaccinations Available This October 💉

We still have appointments available in our October Flu & COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

If you're eligible, or know someone who is, please contact the practice to book an appointment. Getting vaccinated is the best way to help protect yourself and those around you this winter.

Flu vaccine eligibility includes:
• Adults aged 65 and over
• Pregnant women
• Carers
• Residents of care homes for older adults
• People with certain long-term health conditions

COVID-19 vaccine eligibility includes:
• Adults aged 75 and over
• Residents in care homes for older adults
• People aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system

📬 **Received a letter from Capita asking you to confirm your address?**

We’re aware that some of our patients have recently received letters from Capita, on behalf of NHS England/PCSE, asking them to confirm that their address and registration details are still up to date.

We understand that receiving an unexpected letter like this may make you wonder whether it’s a scam, so we wanted to reassure you that these letters are genuine.

NHS England has been carrying out a routine patient list cleansing exercise across GP practices. This is a standard data check to make sure GP patient records are accurate and up to date, and to identify patients who may have moved away, or who are no longer registered at a practice.

If you have received a letter from Capita asking you to confirm your details, you can safely respond to the letter using the instructions provided.

If you’re unsure about a letter you have received, please contact the practice and we can help reassure you.

Courtyard Garden Improvement Works – Next Week - 10th to 14th August 2026

We'd like to let our patients know that improvement works will be taking place in our courtyard garden throughout next week.

As the only access to the courtyard is via the waiting room, you can expect a little more disruption than usual while you are visiting us. Our landscapers will need to use the patient corridors to transport materials and equipment to and from the courtyard, and part of the waiting room will be temporarily sectioned off. There will be clear signage in place throughout the week to help guide everyone safely around the practice.

We will do everything we can to keep any inconvenience to a minimum and would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

This exciting project has been made possible thanks to a very kind bequest left to the practice by one of our patients. We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift, which will allow us to create a beautiful courtyard for everyone to enjoy looking out onto from our waiting room for many years to come.

If you're eligible for a flu and/or COVID vaccination, our dedicated booking lines will be open from Monday 17th August to arrange your appointment.

We'd be delighted if you chose to have your vaccinations at Wells City Practice. By having your vaccinations with us, you're helping to support your local GP practice and the services we provide for our community.

We have a long history of delivering well-organised, efficient vaccination clinics, with plenty of parking available to make your visit as easy as possible.
