A Spooktacular event! 🎃👻
For Halloween we decided to get our spook on and have a party!
We all dressed up and had a blast, and here are a few pictures to show the fun we have been having!
Thank you to Marcello for the wonderful entertainment; our residents and staff loved every second!
What a wonderful time we had with wonderful people; we can't wait to do it again next year!💜

Salon Day 💇‍♀️💜🪮🧴💕

There is nothing like a trip to the hairdressers, our ladies were treated to some well deserved pampering today. From fresh sets to beautiful blow-drys everyone left with a big smile and gorgeous locks!

Lunch Date 🍷❤️

We took Brenda and Peter out on the mini-bus on Friday, for a lunch date at their absolute favourite spot, Bygones!

Owner Vikki greeted us with big hugs and smiles, we spent lunch reminiscing about the good old days and the times they'd spent at the restaurant over the years!

The company was amazing and the food didn't disappoint either, we tucked into a classic Roast Beef dinner, home-made Steak Pie and Hunters Chicken - DELISH! Cheers to laughter, great food, and staying cheeky no matter the decade! 🥂❤️

👻 The Lyncroft Halloween Games👻

Our lovely residents had an absolute scream getting into the spooky spirit with a selection of thrilling Halloween games. We transformed the lounge into a spooky games arcade featuring Ghost Bowling 🎳, Eyeball Toss 👁️, Hook a Count Duckula 🦇 and Witches Hat Hoopla. Prizes were stacked high on the treat trolley and safe to say, it was a monster success! 🎃

Pumpkin spice and everything floral! 🎃🌸

Our residents had a 'gourd'geous time at flower arranging today! They really squashed the competition with these blooming brilliant creations. Who knew pumpkins made such un-stem-believable vases? We think these arrangements are absolutely fa-boo-lous! 🍁💐

The Custard Cream Takeover! ☕🍪

Yesterday mornings Biscuit Club was dedicated to the humble Custard Cream. Residents took their tasting duties very seriously, putting a variety of flavours to the test, including the classic biscuit tin favourite - Vanilla, Rhubarb and Custard and the iconic Chocolate coated.

We also introduced a bit of a wild card: the viral M&S Custard Cream Spread. The verdict? It would be delish on a piece of toast and was definitely a winner, enjoyed from a spoon!

Safe to say, plenty of tea was drunk, crumbs were scattered, and everyone had a brilliant, sugar-fuelled morning.

Games Day! 🎲
We've had a lovely day today full of games and laughter!
We played head basketball and giant snakes and ladders!
The winners got to choose from a wonderful selection of prizes; safe to say the chocolate 🍫 prizes need a restock!

Yesterday morning, we enjoyed a truly lovely session of armchair exercises,🙆🏻‍♀️ focusing on gentle leg and arm stretches to get everyone moving. Later this afternoon, we gathered in the upstairs lounge for a fun 1970s television quiz. 📋Although it was a bit of a slow start at first, as soon as one of our residents began humming the catchy theme tune, everyone quickly remembered the answers and joined in the excitement. 💜

'Soup'er Duper 🍲

It's officially soup season and over the past few weeks we've been making some tasty ones to serve up at tea time. So far we've enjoyed Tomato, using ones grown in our very own garden, and Leek and Potato. Next up is Pea and Mint! YUM.

Residents really enjoy coming together for a chat whilst chopping, dicing and sautéing to create something to delicious to be shared.
