Care staff have built strong connections with the local community; residents enjoy participating in local events in and around Wisbech. Residents enjoy daily home-cooked meals presented to restaurant standards. The highly trained care team is available around the clock to provide personal care and support.

🌸🌻🌺 A Blooming Lovely Afternoon! 🍳🍟🍔

Our residents had the absolute best time yesterday visiting Worzals for a little change of scenery and a delicious lunch!

Some firm favourites were ordered including ham & eggs, scampi & chips and cheeseburgers, dessert was a cheeky scoop or two of ice cream 🍦🍦

Lunch was followed by a stroll through the beautiful garden centre filled with colourful blooms to help us get inspo for our own gardens and CC In Bloom, the smiles said it all!

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Worzals for making us feel so welcome. We are already looking forward to our next little adventure! 🚐❤️

Today we have been enjoying the beautiful weather out in the garden ☀️Sun hats on, sun cream at the ready, making sand castles and keeping cool by dipping our hands in the water. Then of course we all enjoyed a lovely ice lolly to cool us down even more 🍦

In the words of the residents… “Beautiful!”

A big thank you as well to our wonderful front of house staff and carers, making sure everyone stayed topped up with plenty of fluids during the hot weather today. They even treated themselves to a little paddle with their feet to keep cool too 🦶💦

Dementia action week 💙
This week has been Dementia action week and to help raise awareness we have had a dementia action day in the downstairs lounge , spending the day together completing different sensory activities for everyone .
We started off with kinetic sand making which everyone loved playing with after !
Followed by cupcake decorating ( they didn’t last long).
Some music therapy with “name that celeb” ,
A Reminisence session table and lots more 💜🏠

Elvis is in the building!
Last week we were lucky enough to be joined by Pete Webb as Elvis and my my my what a show!
Everybody was on the dance floor and enjoying the incredible performance, from Elvis Presleys iconic dance moved to the outfits, everything was perfect!
Thank-you so much to everyone who came for such a special afternoon , and of course a huge thankyou to Pete , for putting on a truly spectacular show for our residents, we hope to see you again soon !

🏆🎂 The winner of the Country Court Bake-Off Competition is... Charlotte Legge from Castor Lodge Care Home! 🎂🏆

Charlotte wowed the judges with her incredible campervan-themed birthday cake, featuring four delicious layers: Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Drizzle, Red Velvet and Victoria Sponge. Inspired by an era loved by residents, the ambitious design showcased exceptional creativity, skill and attention to detail.

This year's competition celebrated the amazing birthday cakes our teams lovingly create for residents and colleagues, making special occasions even more memorable. Judged on presentation, taste, innovation and baking skill, the standard was incredibly high.

A huge congratulations also goes to our fantastic finalists:
⭐ Marzena Turowska from Tallington Lodge Care Home with her resident-inspired Raspberry & Pistachio Cake
⭐ Victoria Bullingham from our Central Services Payroll Team with her beautifully decorated Lemon Drizzle Cake
