π¨ New Statutory Allergy Safety Guidance for Schools β Is Your Team Ready? π¨
The Department for Education has now published its final statutory guidance on Allergy Safety in Schools (often referred to as Benedict's Law).
Schools in England are now expected to:
β
Have an allergy safety policy
β
Ensure staff receive appropriate allergy awareness training
β
Identify pupils who require Individual Healthcare Plans
β
Be prepared to recognise and respond to an anaphylactic emergency
With food allergies on the rise, knowing what to do in those crucial first few minutes could save a child's life.
To help schools meet these new expectations, I'm delighted to offer my Anaphylaxis Awareness Training for Schools.
The course covers:
π Introduction to Anaphylaxis
π What Anaphylaxis Is
π Common Triggers
π Life-Threatening Allergic Conditions
π Early Recognition & Calling for Help
π Emergency Treatment for Anaphylaxis, including the safe use of adrenaline auto-injectors
The training is practical, engaging and designed specifically for school staff, giving them the confidence to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.
π Available for schools across Worcestershire and surrounding areas.
