Baycroft Flitwick is a care home offering personalised residential and dementia care.

Baycroft Flitwick Care Home features seventy-five en-suite bedrooms, a comfortable bistro cafe and spacious lounge and dining areas. Residents are cared for by a highly trained staff team offering residential, dementia and short-stay respite care. The wellbeing team is on hand to support people to continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests and maintain their local connections.

🕵️‍♂️🔍’Murder at Baycroft Manor’🔎🕵️‍♂️
Our residents put their detective hats on as we investigated the mysterious murder of Sir Jonathan! (Played by John).
With clues hidden around the lounge, it was up to our residents to search for evidence, piece together the mystery and discover WHODONEIT!!!!🔎🧐
We had some very suspicious characters in the spotlight, each with their own part to play.
Margaret the niece👒( played by iris)
Miss Collins🤫 ( played by Maureen)
Thomas the Butler☕️(played by John)
Maurice the French chef🇫🇷🧑‍🍳( played by Dave)
While some residents took on the roles of our suspects and victim, the rest became the Jury, carefully examining the clues and deciding who they believed was guilty and who was innocent ⚖️
After searching for evidence, sharing theories and much careful deliberation, it was finally time to deliver the verdict…………
THE CULPRIT WAS……… MAURICE THE CHEF!😱
Our residents had a fantastic time getting into character, investigating the clues and delivering their final verdicts. There were plenty of laughs, lots of teamwork and some brilliant detective work! 🔎🕵️‍♂️

Case closed……………..until the next mystery🗝️🔎🕵️‍♂️

🎯🎉 LET THE GAMES BEGIN!*🎉🎯

What a fantastic month of fun, laughter, and friendly competition we’ve had! 😍🏆 Our residents have been getting stuck in with a whole host of exciting games, from hoop throwing to bin bag tossing and many more! 🥏🗑️ With skills being put to the test, competitive spirits running high, and plenty of cheers along the way, everyone has been giving it their best shot! 💪👏 Who knew a little friendly rivalry could bring so many smiles? 😆❤️ Whether aiming for the perfect throw or trying to outscore their friends, our residents have proved that fun, laughter, and a little competitive spirit are always a winning combination!🥇🥳
Here’s to making memories, sharing smiles, and enjoying every moment together. What a brilliant month it’s been! 💖🎊

🎃👻 Pumpkin Patch Creativity in Full Swing! 🧡🕸️

Our residents have been getting into the Halloween spirit, creating some spooktacular pumpkin bunting using colourful card! 🎃✂️ And just look at how cool their creations are! 🍂🧡 From cutting and sticking to carefully threading the string, everyone has been getting involved, sharing smiles, enjoying the activity, and creating some fang-tastic Halloween decorations together! 🧡👻 It’s been a lovely time filled with creativity, laughter, and a little bit of Halloween magic! ✨🎃 And this is just the beginning… 👀🕷️ Stay tuned for more of our boo-tiful Halloween crafts coming your way! As part of our Mystery Month we played “What’s in the Bag?” As residents delved their hands into the bag they had to guess what they found. Once they had guessed the item it was pulled out and they had to tell us a story relating to what it was. Peter pulled out a rose and told us that his wife’s favourite flower was Sweet William. Jean pulled out a pair of sunglasses and told us about her time in Singapore and having to wear sunglasses all the time. Maureen pulled out the tambourine and burst into song. Each residents story made us smile and the activity proved to be great fun and a fabulous reminisces session

Residents had a great gym session with Giorgia and while they were waiting for her to start Bernie had them warm up on their imaginary bikes 🚲 Regular exercise helps maintain muscle strength, flexibility, and joint mobility. Small improvements in strength and balance can mean residents are more confident in their daily life and that is what we aim for at Baycroft

Question of the Day …. “Do you believe in love at first sight” We had so many lovely and funny stories from our residents. Stella was a Yes and remembered seeing her future husband at their local stables while Sally told how her husband worked for her brother in law and was a coward and would not ask her out. Are you ready for this her future husband told his boss (Sally’s brother in law) and he told his wife and she told Sally. The rest is history ❤️

Today we had our annual Halloween treat where Ralph’s nephew brought in the pumpkin 🎃 he had been growing for us. This year we he obviously had green fingers as he brought in two. We will have fun carving them next week and hopefully we can persuade our chef 👩‍🍳 to make a delicious pumpkin soup.
