In 1871 our family provided its first funeral service, for our founder, Edwin Caldecott's wife. Less than a year later, along with his three sons, he established Caldecott and Sons, providing funeral services for local families with the same level of compassion and care as they would their own. Now, 154 years later, our family is still serving the local community with the same core value set out all those years ago. Through 5 generations, that core value has not and will not be forgotten.

Recent distressing events in other parts of the UK have put a spotlight on our industry and has once again highlighted the importance of maintaining standards to the highest possible level we can. Our thoughts and condolences are with the families affected at this time. At one of the most difficult times in anyone's life, nobody should have to be punished further by the sickening actions of others.

We have been a proud member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) since the 1920s and have seen our industry evolve in many different ways. We have regular inspections and adhere to the NAFDs Funeral Director Code, reassuring the families we assist that their loved ones are being cared for not only in a Modern, Clean and Dignified environment but by people who care too.
