Today marks the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, which was the largest naval, air, and land operation in military history. 4,414 Allied Soldiers lost their lives that day, and today we honour and remember their sacrifice.

All gave some, some gave all. We will remember them.

Did you know that our Funeral Home is dog friendly? 🐾

We do have a working dog; Ralph, who is here to bring comfort to those who would like to say hello to him. He is usually situated in the office with us both, but should he be naughty, or should you not like dogs, he is then placed in his crate in the back room.

The reason we are mentioning about being dog friendly, is because last week, a family came in to our branch to sort out the funeral arrangements for their loved one. They asked if they could bring the dog in with them, which of course, we said yes. The dog and the handler sat in our reception whilst the rest of the family came into our arranging room to fill out the paperwork. The dog was very calm and quiet, as was ours, which brought a nice atmosphere to the room. We have also had it before where a family brought their dog with them to visit their loved one in our Chapel of Rest because dogs grieve too. Whatever the reason for wanting to bring your dog with you to our Funeral Home, we encourage you to do so.

Good afternoon all 👋🏻

We are just letting you all know that our office will be closed tomorrow due to a family funeral. The funeral is an hour and a half away, so we will be out of area for a good few hours. We would have notified you all sooner, but we only found out ourself Monday night, so we apologise for the lack of notice. You will still be able to reach us throughout the day if you need our advice or assistance, but our phones will be switched off between 11:15am and 12:30pm out of respect.

Our office will be back open again on Friday at 9:30am, so we will see you all then.

Two different tragedies four years apart, both caused by terrorists!

Today, we remember Fusilier Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, who was killed whilst off duty in 2013 💙 We also remember the 22 people who lost their lives at the end of the Ariana Grande Concert in Manchester Arena in 2017 🐝

None of them will ever be forgotten.
