Haulfryn Summer Fete 2026🎉🌞

What a day! Our annual Summer Fete was once again filled with laughter, smiles, music and so much spirit. Even the sun made an appearance ☀️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported us — our wonderful families, friends, amazing Team Haulfryn, and everyone who helped make the day so special. The turnout was incredible, and seeing everyone come together really does remind us exactly why we do what we do. 🥰

🎸 A special thank you to John Bright Lights for keeping us entertained with his guitar playing — you were absolutely brilliant, we really do enjoy you coming to Haulfryn.

🎨🎈 Thank you to Al and Cree for the fantastic face painting and balloon artistry. You certainly kept everyone entertained and brought so many smiles to the day you’re both so talented.

And of course, a massive thank you to Keris for the incredible food. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it was absolutely delicious! 😍

Days like today are about so much more than a summer fete. They’re about connection, making memories and celebrating the wonderful people who make Haulfryn what it is. 💕

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part, big or small. What a team, what a community and what a fantastic day! 🌞❤️

We really can’t wait for next year already 🧡

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Haulfryn Summer Coffee Morning today! ☕🍰💛

What a fantastic morning it was! It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces coming together, enjoying a chat, taking part in the quiz, and supporting the people we support and the team.

Your kindness and continued support mean so much to us. Days like today remind us just how special our community is, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.

We can’t wait to do it all again and see you all at our next community coffee morning💛

Thank you to Gwersyllt Park Cricket Club for the lovely mention.

We’re incredibly proud to support such an important part of our local community. Gwersyllt Cricket Club do so much more than provide sport, they create opportunities for people of all ages to come together, build friendships, stay active and feel part of something special.

From the youngest players taking their first steps onto the pitch to the senior teams, the various clubs, volunteers and supporters who give so much of their time, it’s fantastic to see a club that gives back to the community in so many ways.

We’re delighted to play a small part in supporting everything you do and wish everyone at the club a brilliant season🏏💙

We are incredibly proud to have been featured by Health and Care Research Wales and ENRICH Cymru for our ongoing commitment to research in care homes.

At Haulfryn, we believe that great care and support never stand still. By being involved in research, we can help shape the future of health and social care while ensuring the people who live here continue to have a voice in matters that affect them.

Over the years, we have taken part in a variety of research projects, and we are currently involved in a study exploring technology that can support people to remain independent while maintaining dignity and privacy, working alongside the amazing team at Sentrix, Healthcare Matters’ new technology division.

Research isn’t just about studies and data, it’s about listening to people, learning from their experiences, and using that knowledge to improve care and support for everyone.

As part of Care Home Open Week, Haulfryn Care is sharing how being involved in research is helping improve everyday life for residents.

From supporting choice and independence to exploring new ways to keep people safe, research is helping staff deliver better, more personalised care.
Most importantly, it’s making sure residents’ voices are heard.

As Judith, who lives at the home, said: “That feeling of being listened to is what matters.”

Asa Team we are incredibly proud to have been involved in a research project with the University of Sheffield, contributing to the development of a booklet focused on enabling people to walk safely and maintain their independence.

Working alongside researchers and professionals, we were able to share our experiences and insights to help create a practical resource that supports safe mobility and promotes wellbeing.

It has been a privilege to be part of a project that aims to make a positive difference to the lives of those receiving care and support.

We look forward to continuing to champion person-centred approaches that help people remain active, independent, and engaged in daily life 💚

Today we’re thinking about all the mums we’re lucky enough to encounter through life at Haulfryn 💐🌷🌹🌺🌸🌼🌻🪻

The wonderful mums who live here, who continue to teach us so much through their stories, their humour and their wisdom. Being able to support amazing people, is never anything short of a true privilege 💚

Our team, who somehow balance caring for others at work and at home, often in ways that quietly go unseen. Wether a person is a mum or not, the kindness, compassion and warmth our team show every single day is something truly special and should be celebrated 💚

And the mums who are daughters, sons, grandchildren and friends to the people who live here — the families whose love and dedication we see every single day 💚

Motherhood comes in many forms, and today is a moment to recognise the care, strength and compassion that sits at the heart of it 💚

We also hold space today for those who find Mother’s Day difficult. For those who have lost their mum, those who are missing someone dearly, or for whom today carries complicated feelings. Today we think of you and send nothing but love 💚
