The 26/27 Hyrox season is officially underway so I thought I’d recap on the races I did last year for ✨funsies✨
🇵🇱Gdansk pro - I put way too much pressure on myself for this race, then there was an issue when I crossed the line so I didn’t show as finished until way over 40 minutes after.
🏴Bham pro doubles - Great to get a PB in pro doubles but I had the worst flu after racing at the NEC. I also had to sit in a suitcase holder on the way home.
🇮🇪Dublin doubles - Absolutely loved my first time racing with J. Power couple ⚡️
🇮🇪Dublin pro - A race to just give myself the chance to perform without any pressure. Probably should have just focussed on the doubles in hindsight but a good opportunity to use the pro weights again.
🏴LDN pro - Loved racing back at the Excel and felt like I handled the race really well. No improvement on time but it helped with my mindset going into future solos.
🏴LDN doubles - A last minute decision to race in my first open doubles with Em, and to say we both raced pro weights the day before we smashed it out of the park on tired legs.
🏴LDN relay - I still have nightmares about this relay set up. It was like trying to get to the bar for a b**r when the World Cup is on but worse. Would absolutely do a relay again if it was a bit less chaotic.
🇪🇸Bilbao pro - VAMOS! First time ever travelling alone and managed to knock 8 minutes of my PB. Also the first time I met Francisco Zamudio | Photo & Video I for which I am so grateful!
🇧🇪Mechelen pro - A race that I thought I was doomed at after a poor training block, some heavy stuff going on in the background and getting glutened. Where those 6 minutes came from I will have no idea, and all whilst sounding like Barry White.
🏴LDN open - This was a bad idea 48 hours after a pro solo in another country but who could refuse a free ticket from Deep Heat + Deep Freeze 🤷🏻♀️
🇪🇸Malaga pro doubles - My favourite race to day but I absolutely saw Jesus at one point.
🇵🇹Lisbon pro - Portugal will always be my favourite country, and I still haven’t forgiven my endo for ruining my first race there 🥲
