The Sagittarius Full Moon invites us to lift our gaze and look toward what lies ahead. It calls for expansion, curiosity, and the courage to follow what feels true.
This is a moment to reconnect with your direction, your purpose, and the inner compass that guides you forward. Sagittarius energy encourages boldness, but also trust, in the path unfolding, even when it feels uncertain.
Let your practice support openness, movement, and a sense of possibility as you step into what is calling you next. 🌿

Join us in the studio and move with the energy of expansion.

International Day of Yoga has a very short history. It was proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2013 and adopted by the UN in 2014 as a global initiative to "promote health, peace and harmony".

Sounds great but there's a big but to this...

Modi's political play in this was to create propaganda and "Soft Power" for his Hindutva Policy as part of the BJP party and his close links to fascist RSS paramilitary group. The health, prace and harmony promoted by International Day of Yoga is a Trojan horse to mask the violence, sectarianism and major domestic social and health issues that dominate under the BJP' party's control.

In effect, promote the idea of yoga as a global panacea that is proprietary of Hindu culture, globally India's political and economic interests go unquestioned. We educate the masses that Yoga has exclusively Hindu orgins, we can also promote a version of Indian history that mythologises Hindu nationalism.

In addition to this International Day of Yoga has been co-opted by the corporate and consumerist adaptations of yoga. All of the most contrary to Yoga's philosophy, ideals and meaning are promoted under the guise of International Day of Yoga - major companies with very problematic social and environmental practices can promote their brands (the "yoga CLOTHING" market is set to grow $24billion in the next 7 years! From an already staggering 31billion to 55, thanks Lululemon), drive consumption in all sectors by using yoga effectively as a "free gift" with products, by extension then fuelling excess consumption, fuelling environmental issues, fuelling acquisitive mindset and behaviors - as a result breaking every yama and niyama.

By not celebrating International Day of Yoga here, we assert that the philosophical principles of yoga are misaligned with right wing nationalism and corporatism. We acknowledge that historically hatha yoga was practiced by many nationalities and ethnic groups in India and draws from a vast pool of ancient and modern experience free from borders and political agenda. Most of all the radical assertion that yoga is NOT a free gift, it is a path to wholeness that should liberate us from consumerism.

The most beautiful of blessingways was facilitated for me by our own and dear friends and energetically contributed to by the many other loved ones that couldnt make it because I was so shy I put Siobhan off for weeks 🤣

We do a lot of things like this at the studio for clients and visitors, facilitating a mindful moment for big rites of passage but it was a rare treat to be on the receiving end in our space!

I'm now officially at term and will be withdrawing from classes at the end of the week! You will hardly see the back of me because I literally live here (lol) but I will look forward to saying "Tarahhh for now!" to my regulars all week ###

The Summer Solstice marks the height of light, a moment when the sun’s energy is at its most powerful, lifting our vitality, clarity, and sense of possibility. It is a time of fullness, where growth meets expression and we are invited to step into our highest potential.

Rooted in ancient Irish tradition, this turning point reminds us of the triumph of light over darkness. As the sun reaches its peak, we are called to stand in our own strength, to embody confidence, and to honour all that has come into bloom.
On the mat, this season invites expansive movement, steady breath, and a connection to the energy that rises through us. A time to feel strong, open, and fully present in what is unfolding. 🌿

Join us in the studio and move with the energy of the season.
