ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
CHARLIE MCLAUGHLIN (CLOSHA)
RENFREW, SCOTLAND & DRUMCARBIT, MALIN
The family of the late Charlie McLaughlin (Closha) would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with them following their recent sad loss.
We are deeply grateful to all who attended Charlie's wake and funeral, travelled from near and far to be with us, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence, and to everyone who kept Charlie and our family in their thoughts and prayers.
A special and heartfelt thank you to our devoted family members who worked so hard to prepare our home, both inside and out, for the wake, and to everyone who kindly brought food and refreshments to support us.
A sincere thank you to Fr McDevitt for his support and prayers, Fr Hann for celebrating Charlie's Requiem Mass, Joanne and Finbar for the beautiful singing and music and to all who helped in any way with the funeral arrangements and church service.
We are sincerely thankful for the invaluable help from Blaine Mc Carron and Anthony at Kelly’s Funeral Directors. Their care, compassion, and professionalism provided immense comfort during the preparations for his Requiem Mass in Aughaclay, Malin and repatriation to Scotland, ensuring Charlie was taken home safely and with dignity. We also wish to express our sincere thanks to the Malin Parish First Responders, the ambulance crew and An Garda Síochána for their dedicated service and support.
To our relatives, friends, neighbours and the wider community in Malin and beyond. Thank you for the kindness, comfort and support shown to Margaret, Susan, Clare, Celine and all the family at this very difficult time. Your presence and thoughtful gestures have meant more to us than words can say.
A special thank you to everyone who travelled to Drumcarbit to pay their respects to Charlie, and to those who joined us online for the Requiem Mass.
We also extend our warm thanks to the management and staff at Simpson's Bar & Restaurant for providing the beautiful food and refreshments for everyone after the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Charlie's life was a blessing. His memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Margaret and all the McLaughlin family.
