The death has occurred of Gerry McDonagh, 18 Drumnaveil North, Station Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16 CR60), 9th June 2026. Gerry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Maureen McDonagh, sister Mary Kelly, and brothers-in-law Tony McCabe and Phil Casey.

Remembered with love and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, loving wife Martina, sons Paul (Aisling) and Simon, daughters Jenna (Martin) and Keara (Sean), grandchildren Ben, Emily, Aoibhín and Luca, brother Stephen, sisters Anne, Una, Bernie and Martina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home (H16 CR60) on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm, and Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal leaving his home on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill, for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

The death has occurred of Danny Byrne, 27th Infantry Battalion and 2nd Garrison Military Police, 15 Drumlin Drive, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and formerly of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, 26th May 2026. Danny passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Jimmy Byrne and brother Jimmy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, cherished wife Mary, son Damien, brothers Michael and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Raymond McConnon, 23 Lodge View, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, May 14th 2026, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.


Predeceased by his parents Johnny & Annie McConnon, brothers Patsy and Peter, sisters Aggie, May, Josephine, Philomena, Lily and Bridie.

The death has occurred of Leona Connolly, 27 Oran Railway View, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, and formerly of 5 Cavanreagh, Scotshouse, Clones, Co. Monaghan, who passed away suddenly but peacefully at her residence on 11th May 2026.

Predeceased by her grandparents Pat and Annie Connolly, Willie and Theresa Moore, her uncle Brendan Moore, aunt Pauline Rathigan and her nephew Odhrán Connolly.
