Above and beyond. 🙌

Cillian took on an emergency case for a patient visiting from Wales, and this thank-you card arrived at the clinic today.

We’re proud to have clinicians who go above and beyond for every patient who walks through our door, wherever they’re from.

This is why we do it.

Meet Cillian, one of our Chartered Physiotherapists. 👋

A CORU-registered Chartered Physiotherapist and First Class Honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Cillian has worked across private practice, elite sport and rugby, and currently looks after the Kildare Senior Ladies Football Team alongside his work at RD Physiotherapy.

Years playing rugby with Balbriggan RFC and Trinity College Dublin, plus training for his own triathlons and getting out on the mountains, give him first-hand insight into training, recovery and injury prevention.

He believes rehab should be individual, practical and goal-focused, combining hands-on treatment with tailored exercise and strength programmes to help you move confidently and get back to what you enjoy.

Always learning too, Cillian keeps expanding his knowledge through ongoing courses and mentorship, so you get the benefit of the latest evidence and best practice.

Shin splints aren’t just “part of running.”🦵

That sharp ache down your shin after a run isn’t random, and it’s not something you have to live with.

It happens when the shin bone and surrounding muscle take on more load than they’re ready for, usually from a sudden jump in mileage, intensity, or a change in surface.

The fix isn’t just rest. It’s addressing why the load became too much in the first place.

Catch it early and it settles quickly. Ignore it, and it can take months to calm down.

Feeling that ache creeping in? Get it looked at before it gets worse.

Massive congrats to Cillian on completing the Skerries Triathlon this weekend! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Swim, bike, run, all done, medal earned.

Here’s the thing: our physios don’t just treat athletes, we are athletes. Cillian trains, races, and deals with the same tired legs, early alarms, and race-day nerves that you do.

That’s exactly why we get it. When you tell us about a ni**le before a big event, we’re not guessing, we’ve been there.

Well done Cillian, brilliant effort out there. 👏

Summer running comes with its own rules.☀️

Higher temperatures mean your body is working harder before you even factor in pace. Get these three right and you’ll feel the difference.

💧 Hydrate before, not just during. Waiting until you’re thirsty means you’re already behind.

🐢 Slow your pace. Your heart rate climbs faster in the heat, so the effort feels harder even at the same speed. That’s normal, not a sign you’re losing fitness.

🌅 Time it right. Early morning or evening keeps you out of the peak heat and away from the hardest conditions.
Your body is working overtime to keep you cool. Respect that, and your pace will come back once the temperature drops.

💯 100 out of 100. That’s our patient satisfaction score (NPS) and for context, a typical score sits around 70–80. 🙌

We send every patient a survey after their first and last visit, and right now that score is sitting at a perfect 100. To us that’s proof of one thing: consistent, top-quality care at every step.

Paired with our 125+ five-star reviews, it’s something the whole team is genuinely proud of. Thank you to every patient who trusts us with their recovery. 💙

Here’s a quick test of how strong, stable and “fit” your knees really are 👇

The single-leg squat challenges your balance, knee control and strength all at once which is exactly why we use it in the clinic to spot weak links before they turn into injuries.

Can you do one clean rep? Drop a 🙋 in the comments if you’re giving it a go (and a 😅 if the old knees said nope!).

Struggling with it?

That’s useful info, it usually points to glute, quad or control issues we can work on. 💪
