You fixed the pain. Then it came back.

Most runners rest, recover, get better, then re-injure the same area when training increases.

Why? Because you treated the symptom, not the cause.

A runner performance screening identifies what’s actually causing the problem. Not where it hurts. What’s making it hurt.

Is it weak glutes? Poor ankle mobility? A movement compensation? A strength asymmetry?

Once you know the actual cause, you can build a plan that prevents it happening again.

That’s why it matters.

You could spend months guessing, stretching, and hoping. Or you could get answers in 40 minutes.

This is Cecilia. She came in with a proximal hamstring strain that was keeping her off the dance floor.

We’re now at end-stage rehab, and she’s back doing what she loves. Full range, full control, full confidence.

How’s your hamstring rehabilitation going?

If you’re dealing with hamstring tightness, strain, or recurring pulls, the key is progressive loading through all ranges. Not just stretching. Not just resting.
Eccentric strength, hip stability, and controlled loading through full range of motion.

That’s what gets dancers, runners, and athletes back to performing.

Cecilia’s comeback didn’t happen overnight. It took structured rehab, consistency, and trusting the process.

Where are you in your rehab journey?

If you’re struggling with hamstring issues and want to get back to your sport or activity pain-free, let’s work together.

End-stage costochondral rehab. Loading outside central to increase force absorption through the ribcage.

After restoring mobility, the real work is building resilience. Progressive loading teaches the joint to handle real-world demands without re-injury.

The progression:

Early: Mobility & breathing patterns.

Mid: Activation & controlled movement.

End: Progressive loading & return to sport.

Most people rest and recover, then re-injure because they never built resilience. This patient is ready to get back without fear.

If rib or chest wall pain has sidelined you, get in touch.

3 weeks post lateral ankle fracture and first time out of the boot.

This patient came in today after being immobilised in a boot for the past few weeks. Now that the fracture is stable enough, we’re starting the rehab process to get them back to full function.

What we’re working on in this session:

Proprioception training. After weeks in a boot, the ankle has lost awareness of where it is in space. We’re using balance exercises and controlled movements to retrain that connection between the brain and the ankle.

Gentle loading. The bone is healing, but it needs progressive load to rebuild strength. We’re starting light and controlled, teaching the ankle to handle bodyweight again without overloading the healing tissue.

Gait re-education. Walking in a boot for three weeks changes your movement patterns. We’re breaking down the gait cycle, addressing compensations, and retraining a normal walking pattern to prevent long-term issues.

The goal? Get this patient walking pain-free, rebuild strength and stability, and return to normal activity without risk of re-injury or chronic ankle instability.

Fracture rehab isn’t just about waiting for the bone to heal. It’s about restoring function, strength, and confidence in the joint.

If you’ve recently come out of a boot or cast and need structured rehab to get back to full strength, get in touch.

Your knees hurt. But here’s the thing: the problem probably isn’t your knees.

We see this every week in clinic. Someone comes in with knee pain, expecting their kneecap to be the issue. But when we assess their movement, we find weak glutes, tight hips, or poor ankle mobility.

Your knee is caught in the middle. It’s a hinge joint that relies on the hip above and the ankle below to control movement. When your glutes aren’t firing properly, your knee compensates. When your ankle is stiff, your knee takes the strain.

The most common patterns we see:

Knee caving inward during squats or running. This usually points to weak glutes and poor hip stability.

Pain around the kneecap (patellofemoral pain). Often caused by tight quads, weak VMO, or faulty tracking from hip weakness.

Pain on the outside of the knee (IT band syndrome). Almost always linked to weak hip abductors and glute medius.

Knee pain after running or stairs. Usually a sign that the muscles around the knee aren’t controlling load effectively.

Here’s what we do:

We assess your movement. We test your hip strength, ankle mobility, and how your knee tracks during functional movements like squatting, lunging, and single-leg balance.

Then we build a plan that addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms.
If your knees have been bothering you and rest isn’t fixing it, get in touch. Let’s figure out what’s actually going on.

What an incredible day at Power Gym, Mason Hotel!

We ran an injury prevention workshop covering the most common gym injuries we see in clinic and, more importantly, how to avoid them in the first place.

The 5 injuries that show up most:

Shoulder impingement from poor overhead pressing mechanics.

Lower back strain from compromised lifting technique.

Knee pain caused by weak glutes and faulty squat patterns.

Tennis elbow from overuse in pulling movements.

Achilles tendinopathy from excessive jumping or running without proper preparation.

Here’s the thing: most of these aren’t caused by bad luck. They’re caused by movement patterns that break down under load, inadequate warm-ups, or ignoring early warning signs like tightness and discomfort.

We walked the group through upper and lower limb warm-up sequences, showed them how to assess their own movement quality, and gave them the tools to spot problems before they become serious.

A huge thanks to everyone who came along. Your energy and engagement made the day something special.

If injury prevention is something you’d like to learn more about, get in touch. Let’s keep you moving and performing at your best.
