The annual retention process is open for all doctors on the Medical Council Register and must be completed before 30th June 2026. The Medical Council today welcomed representatives from the HSE National Doctors Training & Planning, The Forum of Irish Postgraduate Medical Training bodies and its secretariat to the first stakeholder tripartite meeting of 2026. This was an opportunity to facilitate a high-level exchange of information between parties and to discuss areas of mutual interest or concern which underscored a unified commitment to patient safety.
