Our goal is to find answers for the couples we support here at NeoFertility. In our published cohort (Boyle et al., JRRM 2025), the proportion labelled with unexplained infertility dropped from 24 percent at presentation to 1 percent after a full NeoFertility workup of 187 couples.

Why another cycle is not the only option.

🔹️If you have already been through one or several treatment cycles without the result you were hoping for, we will look at why your case has not responded, before you decide whether to do anything else.

🔹️Restorative reproductive medicine starts from a different place. Instead of bypassing the reproductive system, it asks what within that system is not working.
This matters because the underlying condition is often there to be found.

🔹️The first phase is investigation. We assess both partners. Charting the cycle is part of this from the start, because it shows us the timing and quality of ovulation in a way a single clinic blood test does not.

🔹️A central part of the workup is a blood draw seven days after ovulation, to measure what we call the quality of the luteal phase. This is not the same as standard day-21 testing. It is timed to your own cycle, identified from your chart, so the result reflects what your body is actually doing.

🔹️If required investigation extends to laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, which can identify conditions such as endometriosis and chronic endometritis that are not visible on a scan.

🔹️We then work to treat the conditions the prior treatment had not addressed.

PMOS stands for polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, which is the newer name for what was previously called PCOS.

Common symptoms include:
✔️Irregular periods or long gaps between periods.
✔️Difficulty getting pregnant.
✔️Excess hair growth on the face or body, or hair loss on the scalp.
✔️Acne, oily skin, tiredness, and weight gain or difficulty losing weight.
✔️Thick, dark skin patches, especially on the neck or armpits.

Rather than relying on symptoms alone to diagnose PMOS, at NeoFertility we also use blood tests and an ultrasound of the ovaries to investigate further.

A low AMH result does not mean natural conception is impossible.

🔹️Low AMH (anti-Mullerian hormone) is a blood marker of reduced ovarian reserve.

🔹️At NeoFertility, we treat the woman and the cycle, not just the number. We see couples in this position every week. First, we look at what the o***y is actually doing each cycle, not just at the number on the blood test.

🔹️A woman with low AMH can still produce a dominant follicle each cycle. Whether that follicle ovulates well, and whether the luteal phase that follows supports a healthy pregnancy, is a different matter. A single AMH test tells us nothing about that.
