Centric Health National Primary Care Conference 2026 explored the opportunities and challenges of AI and innovation in healthcare today.
Healthcare professionals from across Ireland gathered at the National Primary Care Conference, incorporating the Centric Health 12th Annual Conference, at University College Dublin on 3 October 2026.
Beyond the educational programme, the conference provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues from across the Centric Health network and the wider primary care community to connect, share experiences and strengthen professional relationships. The event fostered an inspiring and thought-provoking day together and followed our theme of 'Curiosity' as a consistent thread through the event.
The programme featured an engaging opening session from Dr Philippa Kaye, whose practical and thought-provoking presentation encouraged open discussion around sexual health and wellbeing.
Delegates also heard from renowned neurologist Dr Suzanne O'Sullivan, whose session on diagnosis and patient care generated significant interest and reflection among attendees.
A key highlight of the day was the Innovation in Primary Care panel discussion, chaired by Dr Máire Finn of Ennis Medical. Panellists included Dr Conor O'Shea of ICGP GPIT, Dr Ronan Glynn, EY Ireland Partner and Health Sector Leader, and Ed Hiley, Technology Director at Hippo Digital UK, who explored the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence and digital innovation in healthcare.
The conference concluded with an inspiring address from Dr. Tony Bates, whose reflections on patient wellbeing, resilience and the human connection at the heart of healthcare provided a fitting close to the event.
