Join us tomorrow for the first of this two part series!

One of the most challenging parts of supporting a child with OCD is knowing the difference between comforting your child and unintentionally reinforcing the OCD cycle. It’s not something parents instinctively know, and it’s certainly not because they’re doing anything wrong.

That’s why we’ve developed our new Understanding OCD: Parent & Caregiver Workshop.
Across two live online sessions, we’ll explore:
• What OCD is (and what it isn’t)
• Why OCD develops
• Common obsessions and compulsions in children and young people
• The overlap & differences between OCD and Autism
• Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) – the gold standard psychological treatment
• Family accommodation and reassurance
• Practical, evidence-based strategies to support your child at home

📅 Wednesday 2nd & Wednesday 9th September
🕙 10:00am–12:00pm (Online)
💶 €60 per family

The workshop will be delivered by our Assistant Psychologist Johanna Kappenberg alongside the clinical supervision of Dr Patricia Barber, Chartered Counselling Psychologist, who will also join the sessions to provide clinical oversight and answer questions.

Whether your unsure if your child has OCD, if they have recently been diagnosed or is already receiving treatment, our aim is to help parents feel more confident, informed and supported.

Places are limited. We look forward to welcoming you.

Is your child asking for a phone? Or maybe they already have one and you’re not sure what you’ve said yes to?

I’m running a live online workshop for parents on Safe Phone Use — practical, no-fear-mongering guidance on:

✅ What age is actually appropriate
✅ How to introduce a phone the right way
✅ Parental controls (and the workarounds kids use to get past them)
✅ How to talk to your child about phone use
✅ What to actually watch out for
✅ How you use your own phone around them

📅 Wednesday 19th August
🕐 1-2.30pm
💻 Online via Zoom
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 €20 per family
🎟️ Recording sent to everyone who books, so you won’t miss out if you can’t make it live
