Summer Class Card is Back- Along with the Summer Challenge!

We know that Summer gets hectic with holidays, good weather and a break from routine, but it’s so important to make the most of the summer months by keeping your chill with a regular yoga practice. We want to help you keep your healthy habits going, or if you’ve been thinking about coming back or starting new, this is the perfect time.

We not only have our summer class card at an incredibly discounted rate (classes must be used by August 31st) but we have our summer challenge as well. Grab a challenge card at the studio and aim to complete 15 classes between June 1st and August 31st. Every completed card then becomes a raffle ticket for some genuinely excellent prizes featuring our favourite local businesses. You’ll be able to submit your filled card for the raffle prize of your choice at the end of the challenge, so even more chances to win. If you fill more than one card (we saw a lot of you did last year!) you are welcome to submit any additional cards as well.

Lastly, since our goal is always to get people practicing as much as possible and making it easier to do so, anyone who completes a challenge card gets 10% off their next class card or monthly package.

We can’t wait to see you on your mat all summer long!

What’s our favourite practice for knee health?
26&2!
While we cue “lock the knee” often in this practice, it’s not a traditional anatomical “lock”. Instead, we lift up on the muscles of the thighs, stretch out the hamstrings and create stability and space around the knee joint. If you struggle with knee pain from running, dancing or plain old daily wear and tear, this practice is a life saver for the knees.

As an added bonus, the 26&2 is a heated practice, and our state of the art infrared heaters give your joints an extra boost all practice.

Yin Yoga!
Tuesday Evening

Longer holds, beginner friendly poses, cozy room.
I’ve had students call it the sleeping pill because they get their best nights sleep after one session, I’ve had a long term runner tell me that running the day after a Yin class feels like running ten years ago. On Sunday, one student commented to Scott “I don’t know why the whole county isn’t in this class- it’s the best thing I’ve done”.

A beautiful yogic blend of mindfulness, stillness and nourishment for some of the deepest tissues in the body, it’s not only great for your physical recovery and health, but does wonders for your mood.

PS Are you in for Yin?

Just a few thoughts on how a regular yoga practice can make life so much easier when you’re injured. Every day in this boot, I’m so very grateful for my arm strength, my ability to stand on one leg and most of all, my ability to sit still and breathe because it’s not forever.

Every yoga class you do is an investment in your future self and making things easier.

Family Fun Yoga is Back!
May 30th 12-12:45p

Looking for a fun Saturday activity to do with the kids? Come try Family Fun Yoga! This class will be full of partner yoga poses, kid and adult friendly balances and practices designed to have everyone moving and laughing. Best suited for ages 6-11, children will need to bring their favourite adult to participate as Scott will be teaching some partner balance moves in the class. We’re keeping space limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

May 24th 1-1:45p
Mums and Babies Yoga Class
With Melissa

We have had a lot of requests for this style of class, and we’re excited to try it out Sunday May 24th at 1-1:45p. This class will feature gentle stretches and very light core activation as well as tummy time for both Mum and baby to enjoy. We will also do a little breathwork and meditation to finish. This is also a great chance to connect with other new mums and just get out of the house with baby.

Class is suitable for any new mum who has been cleared for light exercise and stretching, and perfect for babies 6 weeks to 7 months (crawling but not very mobile is ideal). Mums will need a yoga mat for themselves and a floor blanket for baby, feel free to bring a small bouncer or toys to keep baby entertained if you like.

Space is limited, so be sure to book ahead!
Also, current members can use their class card or membership for this class.
