When Does "Normal" Stiffness Become a Problem? π€
We've all experienced stiffness from time to time. Maybe it's after a long day at your desk, a tough workout, gardening, or simply waking up in the morning.
In many cases, mild stiffness is completely normal and settles once you get moving.
But it may be time to seek professional advice if your stiffness:
πΉ Lasts longer than a few days.
πΉ Keeps coming back.
πΉ Limits your movement or daily activities.
πΉ Is accompanied by pain, numbness, or tingling.
πΉ Makes it difficult to exercise, work, or enjoy your hobbies.
Stiffness is often your body's way of telling you that something isn't moving or functioning as it should. Rather than simply treating the symptoms, osteopathic care aims to identify the underlying cause, restore healthy movement, and help prevent the problem from returning through hands-on treatment, rehabilitation, and personalised advice.
The sooner an issue is addressed, the easier it can often be to restore comfortable movement and prevent it from becoming a longer-term problem.
If you're wondering whether what you're experiencing is "just stiffness" or something more, we're here to help.
