Finding it difficult to sleep during pregnancy? 🌙🤰

Pregnancy insomnia is more common than many mothers-to-be realise. Physical discomfort, hormonal changes, frequent bathroom visits, and an active mind can all make it harder to get a good night's sleep. Simple habits such as using pillows for support, maintaining a consistent bedtime routine, avoiding screens before bed, and trying a relaxing foot soak may help improve sleep quality. Remember, quality sleep is important for both maternal well-being and your baby's development. If sleep problems persist or begin affecting your mood and daily life, speak with your doctor. Save this post for later and share it with an expecting mother who might need these tips.

When your little one has loose motions or vomiting, they can lose fluids faster than you think 💧

Here are a few signs to watch for:
1. Fewer wet diapers
2. Dry lips or mouth
3. Low energy or unusual sleepiness

ORS can help replace lost fluids and keep your baby hydrated.
✔️ Give small sips slowly and often
✔️ Continue feeding as advised by your doctor
✔️ Always use the correct ORS preparation

Remember, ORS helps with hydration, but it’s important to consult your paediatrician if symptoms continue or your baby seems unwell.

Save this for quick reference and share it with parents who may need it ❤️

New parents often worry when they hear that their baby has lost weight after birth. But did you know that a small amount of weight loss in the first few days is usually expected? As babies lose extra body fluids, pass urine and meconium (their first stool), and gradually establish feeding, a temporary weight loss can occur. Understanding what is normal can help reduce unnecessary worry and support better newborn care.

Here we explain:
1. Why newborns lose weight after birth
2. When weight gain usually begins
3. When birth weight is typically regained
4. Signs that may need medical attention

Struggling to put your baby to sleep? 😴
It may be a routine issue, not a sleep issue.

Sleep needs by age:
1. 3–6 months: 14–17 hrs | Bedtime 7–8 PM
2. 6–12 months: 12–16 hrs | Bedtime 6:30–8 PM
3. Toddlers: 11–14 hrs | Bedtime 7–8 PM
Watch for early sleepy cues: yawning, rubbing eyes, fussiness.

Ways to create better sleep habits:
• Same bedtime daily
• No screens 1 hour before bed
• Cool, dark room
• Calm bedtime routine
