🫁 Lung Cancer is Not Just One Disease — It’s Many

Hearing the word lung cancer can be frightening…
But here’s something important you need to understand 👇

👨‍⚕️ Dr. Shivanshu Raj Goyal explains:

👉 Saying “lung cancer” is not enough
👉 The key lies in subtyping and precision diagnosis

💥 There are different types of lung cancers:
• Small Cell Lung Cancer
• Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (with multiple subtypes)

🔬 Why does this matter?
Because we are now in the era of Precision Medicine

✔ A biopsy (tissue or liquid) is analyzed
✔ Mutation testing is done
✔ The exact genetic cause is identified

🚀 What’s the advantage?
👉 Personalized / targeted treatment (Immunotherapy)
👉 Often available in oral form
👉 Better tolerance
👉 Fewer side effects
👉 Improved outcomes & survival chances

💚 The future of lung cancer treatment is targeted, precise, and personalized

🚫 And the best prevention?
No smoke. No v**e. No chew.

📢 Stay informed. Stay healthy.

🤖 AI in Medicine: Detecting What the Human Eye Might Miss

Artificial Intelligence is no longer the future — it’s already transforming healthcare.

👨‍⚕️ Dr. Shivanshu Raj Goyal shares how AI-driven radiology is revolutionizing pulmonology:

🫁 Advanced AI software can now detect tiny nodules or abnormalities in chest X-rays and CT scans
👉 At a stage where even the human eye might miss them

💥 What does this mean for patients?
✔ Earlier detection of lung conditions
✔ Timely intervention
✔ Better treatment outcomes

⚠️ Not every finding is cancer —
But if detected early, even serious conditions like lung cancer can be treated more effectively, sometimes even surgically removed.

🚀 AI is not replacing doctors — it is empowering them to make faster, more accurate decisions.

💚 Early detection saves lives.
Stay aware. Stay proactive.

Your lungs are your lifeline—and viral infections can silently disrupt their function.

In this insightful piece, Dr. Shivanshu Raj Goyal - Associate Director, Pulmonology – Max Healthcare Gurgaon & Delhi (Dwarka) highlights how viral infections don’t just cause cough or fever—they can lead to inflammation, mucus build-up, and reduced oxygen exchange in the lungs. In severe cases, they may even damage lung tissue and impact long-term respiratory health.

Understanding these effects is crucial for early detection, timely care, and preventing complications like pneumonia or respiratory distress.

Stay informed. Stay protected. Because healthy lungs mean a healthier life. 💙

Fluid around lungs? Don’t panic—your body is giving clues. 🫁

Pleural effusion (fluid around the lungs) is not just a condition—it’s a signal about your health.

Did you know?
✔ Normally, we all have 5–10 ml fluid (not visible)
✔ On X-ray, fluid is seen only when it reaches ~200 ml or more
✔ In severe cases, it can go up to 1 litre

💡 What does the fluid color indicate?

🟡 Straw (light yellow) → Infection like tuberculosis
🟢 Pus-like → Severe infection (pneumonia)
🥛 Milky → Chylous effusion
🟤 Oily (mustard-like) → Possible malignancy
🔴 Bloody → Trauma or lung cancer

👉 Diagnosis is confirmed by fluid tapping (thoracentesis) under ultrasound guidance.
👉 Treatment may involve drainage with catheter or chest tube (intercostal drain).

⚠️ Important: Not all pleural effusions are serious.
Sometimes it can be due to heart, liver, or kidney issues causing fluid overload.

✨ The key is:
Don’t panic—understand, investigate, and treat appropriately.

Consult Dr. Shivanshu Raj Goyal for expert guidance on lung health.

Have you heard about “House Burping”? 🏠💨

We all know burping as releasing gas from our body… but did you know your house needs it too?

In today’s lifestyle, we spend most of our time in poorly ventilated spaces. This leads to:
❌ Stale air buildup
❌ Increased humidity
❌ Growth of molds & allergens

👉 That’s where “house burping” comes in —
Simply ventilating your home once a day to let fresh air in and stale air out.

In fact, in countries like Germany, it’s a mandatory practice in rental agreements to ensure healthy living conditions.

💡 A small daily habit can make a BIG difference for your respiratory health.

✔ Open your windows daily
✔ Let your home breathe
✔ Protect your lungs
