Eve went on tour yesterday. 🇫🇷

A ferry, a lighthouse, a beach, a seafood platter and a team of Eve women armed with a photo challenge.

We told them to bring back:
📸 A team photo with the lighthouse (the "Lighthouse Ladies")
💚 Something green - worn, drunk, or photographed
🐟 The funniest possible photo involving a fish or seafood
💶 The funniest French item they could buy for under €10
🏖️ Beach art made from whatever they found - all about Eve, obviously
🇫🇷 The most ridiculously French team photo they could pull off
😊 A friendly local roped into a team photo
❤️ A heart -real or made -captured with the group

Bonus points went to the best photo of the day, voted for by everyone on the boat home.

To the women who went on tour yesterday - thank you for being exactly who you are. Loud, warm, kind, ridiculous, funny, brave, up-for-anything. This is why Eve exists.

Because being a woman in Jersey shouldn't mean navigating life alone. It should mean this — the group chat, the day trips, the "I'll drive," the "sit with me," the friend you didn't know you needed until you walked into a class three months ago.

Last night at Eve.

A room full of women, listening - really listening - to the truth about endometriosis. Thank you to Dr Christian Alabi and Kate Fry (.jersey) for holding this conversation so honestly.

Here's what we heard:

Every woman in the room had a story about delay.

Misdiagnosis. Being told to "just get on with it." Or feeling there was no option but to pay for treatment privately, either here or in the UK.

Some of what stayed with us:
→ There are three types of endometriosis, and they can present with very different pain patterns. One "typical" symptom list doesn't cover it.

→ Every primary care practice should have a women's health practitioner — someone who has undertaken proper CPD training in this area. Dr Alabi and Dr McKay have both offered this training. It's available. It just needs uptake.

→ The Endometriosis Clinic in Jersey does exist. Waiting time is currently around 6 weeks. But women need to know it's there, and to insist on the referral from their GP.

As someone watching from outside the diagnosis, listening to those stories was dismaying - women not being heard, women having laparoscopies they may not have needed, women paying thousands to be taken seriously.

This is why the Eve Women's Health Support Network exists. Not to replace clinical care, but to make sure no woman in Jersey navigates her health alone.

If last night gave you courage to push for a referral, ask a question, or just feel less alone — that's the whole point.

Thank you to every woman who showed up. This community is something else.

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women. If something feels wrong, keep asking. Ask for the referral. Ask again. Find your voice.
