Nobody taught us to name our feelings. We just got "fine," "okay," and "I'm tired" "I'm angry" "I'm happy" and called it emotional intelligence. 😭
But there's actually a whole wheel of emotions out there and there are 72+ words for what you're feeling right now. Not just "sad." Maybe you're disappointed. Or grief-stricken. Or just done with people for the week.
Naming your emotion is the first step to actually dealing with it. 🎯

So we said we will share things we learnt at this conference...
1. Sometimes the reason you don't like someone has nothing to do with them.
• it's the way they laugh too loud and you were told yours was embarrassing.
• it's how they always speak up and you learned early that silence was safer.
• it's the confidence they wear that you were told you didn't deserve.

Sometimes dislike is just an unhealed thing pointing at itself in another person.

Therapy gives you the nerve to sit with that, to ask "why?" before you write someone off, to stop letting your wounds make decisions for you.

The small things aren't small, they're usually the whole thing.
