PCOS & CHIN HAIR: WHAT ACTUALLY HELPS

Chin hair can be a common symptom of PCOS due to increased androgen activity.

Here are options that can help:

Laser hair removal: can provide long-term hair reduction.

Electrolysis: permanently destroys individual hair follicles.
Shaving/threading: safe ways to remove existing hair.

Medical treatment: treating the underlying hormonal imbalance may help reduce new growth.

Don’t believe the myth that shaving makes hair grow back thicker. It doesn’t.

If facial hair suddenly becomes much heavier or grows rapidly, speak with a healthcare professional.

Your symptoms deserve attention. Your wellness matters.

HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT WITH PCOS: WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS

Let’s clear something up:

You do NOT need a special “PCOS diet” or a cupboard full of expensive supplements to manage your weight.

What works is a sustainable approach you can actually maintain.

1. Create a realistic calorie deficit
If weight loss is your goal, eating slightly fewer calories than your body uses can help. The deficit should be individualized, not extreme.

2. Prioritize protein + fibre
Build meals around foods like eggs, fish, chicken, beans, vegetables, fruits, oats and other whole grains. These can help make meals more filling and nutritious.

3. Move your body consistently
Walking, dancing, cycling, swimming, strength training, choose activities you actually enjoy. There is no single “best” exercise for PCOS.

For greater health benefits and modest weight loss, guidelines suggest working toward around 250 minutes of moderate activity per week. alongside muscle-strengthening exercises on about 2 days per week.

4. Stop chasing restrictive diets
Keto, intermittent fasting, low-carb, low-fat… no single diet has been shown to be superior for PCOS weight management.

The best diet is one that is nutritious, sustainable and fits your lifestyle

5. Be consistent, not perfect
One “bad” meal doesn't ruin your progress. One healthy meal doesn't transform your body overnight.

Your results come from what you do repeatedly.

And here's something important:

Your health can improve even when the scale doesn't move. Healthy lifestyle changes have benefits beyond weight loss.

PCOS weight management isn't about punishing your body.
It's about learning how to support it.

YOUR BODY ISN’T ASKING FOR PERFECTION.
IT’S ASKING FOR CONSISTENCY.

You don't need to completely change your lifestyle this week.

Start small.

Choose a nourishing meal.
Drink more water.
Move your body.
Get enough rest.
Make time for yourself.

Because your wellness is built from the little things you do consistently, not the big things you do occasionally.

This week, choose one healthy habit and stick with it.

One choice. One day. One step closer to a healthier you.

or making it work harder.

The food on your plate today can influence your energy, hormones, skin, mood, and overall well-being tomorrow.

Small, consistent choices can lead to meaningful changes over time.

PCOS isn't just physical, it can affect your mental health too.

If you've been feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, constantly tired, or struggling with brain fog, know that these experiences are valid. Hormonal imbalances can influence how you feel mentally and emotionally, not just physically.

Living with PCOS can be challenging, but you don't have to suffer in silence. Your emotional well-being is just as important as your hormonal health.

Be gentle with yourself. Seek support when you need it. Healing is about caring for both your body and your mind.

Save this post for days you need the reminder.

This week, be gentle with yourself.

Living with PCOS is not a straight road, it comes with ups, downs, and days that feel heavier than others. But even on the slow days, your body is still working with you, not against you.

Let this week remind you that progress is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like choosing water over sugar, taking a short walk, resting without guilt, or simply showing up for yourself again.

You are not behind.
You are not alone.
You are learning your body step by step, and that is strength.

This week, choose patience over pressure.
Choose care over criticism.
Choose hope over frustration.

Your healing journey is still unfolding, and you are doing better than you think.

Have a peaceful, intentional, and kind week ahead.
