You could feel it in the room. Forty people, all carrying something: stress, overwhelm, being stuck, the quiet weight of being “fine” for too long.

Mental wellbeing isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s the foundation everything else is built on. Our nervous systems weren’t designed for the pace we are living at, and pretending otherwise only pushes the cost further down the road.

Facilitating this workshop reminded me why this work matters. Not just theory. Not quick fixes. Just people, together, learning to notice what’s actually happening in their bodies and minds, and what to do about it.

Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up in October.
My hope is that it’s not just a week we talk about this, but a doorway into practices we keep.

If you’re carrying more than you are letting on, you are not alone, and there’s support available.

Send me a DM if you’d like to bring a workshop like this to your team or community.

You keep hitting the same wall in the same relationship or at work. Different person, same pattern. You’ve talked about it, journaled about it and it’s still there.

That’s because insight lives in the mind. Patterns live in the body and the system you come from.

Family Constellations works differently. It doesn’t ask you to analyse your family story, it lets you see it, physically, in the room, so what’s been invisible can finally move.

Two chances to experience it this week at The Life Centre

🗓️ Thursday, 6:30–9pm an evening workshop
🗓️ Sunday, 10am–5pm a full day retreat, with more space for individual constellations, breaks and integration time

Early bird pricing for Sunday closes Tuesday night, so if you’ve been sitting on it, this is the window.

There’s still time to join.

We are human beings, not human doings.

Ancient wisdom was never meant to send us back to the past, it’s meant to walk with us right now.

The practice isn’t choosing between being and doing. It’s learning how to hold both: chatting, working, even grocery shopping, all done with presence.
That balance is where the ease begins.

Something in you already knows what needs to shift this spring. The question isn’t whether you know it, it’s whether you have the way of doing it and embodying it.

September sessions are open: 1:1 sessions, coaching, private sound baths, Family Constellations (1:1, evening workshop Thu 17 + Day retreat Sun 20), Sound Journey Sundays, Relax & Restore with Kat Purvis (Sun 11 Oct), and openings for corporate & private group sessions ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week in October.

Somewhere between “how’s work?” and the silence that follows, there’s a version of your relationship with your dad that neither of you has quite found words for.

This Sunday evening, skip the small talk. Bring him instead to a 90-minute sound journey at The Life Centre - gongs, singing bowls, and layered frequency doing what conversation sometimes can’t. No performance, no advice-giving, nothing required. Just 90 minutes of stillness, side by side.

Tickets for you and your dad at https://events.humanitix.com/sound-journey-life-centre

Or comment SOUND and I’ll send it straight to your DMs 🙌

What if you are far more than your thoughts, your body or the roles you play in life?
In the latest episode of The Conscious Action by Brian Berneman I sat down with Crystal Cassidy from SOULPOD | Spiritual Wellness for a fascinating exploration of consciousness, awakening and what it means to be human.

Crystal Cassidy journey bridges science and spirituality in a unique way. From working in biochemistry, cancer research and genomic diagnostics to experiencing a Kundalini awakening, a near-death experience and channeling multidimensional intelligences, her story invites us to expand our understanding of reality.

Together, we explored:
✨ The shift from belief to direct knowing
✨ Kundalini awakening and the experience of oneness
✨ The relationship between science and spirituality
✨ Channeling and multidimensional consciousness
✨ Why mystery is an essential part of life
✨ The importance of community on the awakening journey
✨ How rapid changes in our world may be inviting us into a deeper awareness of who we are

One of the themes that stayed with me throughout our conversation was this:
💫 Awakening isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about remembering who you truly are.
Beneath the noise, the expectations, the identities and the stories, there is a deeper wisdom within each of us waiting to be rediscovered.

I’d love to know:
Have you ever had an experience that expanded your understanding of reality or consciousness?

Here’s what actually happens when you lie down for 90 minutes and let sound do the work.
No chanting required. No flexibility test. No performing stillness for anyone.
Here’s the honest walkthrough:
You arrive, get ready: mat, blanket, whatever gets your body comfortable enough to stop monitoring itself. For the first few minutes, your mind will probably still be running through your week. That’s normal. It doesn’t mean it’s not working.

Then, after the meditation, the sound starts: gongs, singing bowls, voice - and your job is to do absolutely nothing with it. Not analyse it, not decide if you like it, not wait for a specific feeling to arrive. Your nervous system responds to vibration whether or not your thinking mind is on board.

Somewhere in the middle, most people lose track of time. Some feel heavy. Some feel emotional for no clear reason. Some just feel unusually still. There’s no correct experience, the body does what it needs to do.

You leave 90 minutes later, not “fixed,” but with a nervous system that’s had a genuine chance to come down out of alert. What you do with that afterward is the actual work.

Sunday evenings The Life Centre in Ponsonby.

I love this.
In my work I get to see strangers come together. People exploring together.
Healing together.
Connecting deeply with themselves and others.

Hugs, smiles or just a listening ear.
Our presence can be so powerful.
And when we come together and connect as one we are able to do and be so much more!
