This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating one very special woman – our very own Mellanee Kendrick.
To honour the amazing mum she is, we asked her three children, Georgia, Jay and Ella-Rose, to share what makes her so special:
From fun-filled road trips to the quiet strength she shows every day – “Some of my favourite memories with mum are our road trips, singing loud and proud even though we’re both tone deaf. Her caring heart and quiet strength inspires me. I’m incredibly lucky to have her in my life.” – Georgia
No matter the distance, she’s always there with love and support – “Even though we live in different cities, my mum and I are closer than ever, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to go to her for advice and support. She’s much stronger than she gives herself credit for, and I truly appreciate the effort she makes to stay connected and be there for me.” – Jay
And through every big moment, she’s right by their side – “Some of my most special memories with my mum are from when she would take me to my gymnastics competitions. The early mornings, the nerves, and the excitement - she was always right there with me through it all. I’ll never forget seeing her in the crowd, always my biggest supporter. No matter how I did, she made me feel proud of myself. She would calm my nerves, celebrate the wins, and lift me up after the tough moments. I’m so thankful for everything she did for me and feel so lucky to have a mum who has always been there, loving me and believing in me.” – Ella-Rose
