In this case, the patient had significant bone loss in the front, and the implant-supported crowns looked very long and unaesthetic. This followed an accident she had.

We removed the old crowns, used a different implant abutment, and created a more aesthetic result. Her other teeth were healthy, so we treated them with minimally prepared veneers. You can see the transformation.

A great dental technician is essential for creating beautiful veneers, but even more important is how the dentist plans the case and communicates that vision to the technician.

In this case, the gum was covering a large part of the front teeth, making them appear short, wide, and square. This shape did not complement the patient’s rounder facial features, so our goal was to create a more elegant, oval, and softly rounded smile.

During the gingivectomy, we did not simply cut the gum in a uniform curve. We carefully designed an oval gingival contour that would guide the final proportions. The teeth were then prepared with precise lines so the technician could clearly understand and respect my plan for the shape of every veneer.

This case shows why the dentist must have a clear vision before beginning the treatment. Every detail—from the gingival contour and tooth preparation to the instructions given to the technician contributes to the final smile.

And this is the beautiful result we achieved for our patient. 😁

She travelled all the way from the USA to transform her smile. Her previous crowns had poor adaptation, and her bite needed attention. We replaced the old front crowns, treated the teeth that needed root canal therapy under the microscope, and performed a gingivectomy to improve the gum line.
