They only ran basic bloodwork:
Day 3 FSH and estrogen is the bare minimum. If no one checked your AMH, thyroid (full panel — not just TSH), prolactin, or androgens — you have an incomplete picture. You can’t fix what you haven’t found.
They told you your results were “normal”:
Normal for a non-trying population is not the same as optimal for conception. A TSH of 3.5 is technically normal. For implantation, most reproductive endocrinologists want it under 2.5. Ask for your actual numbers.
They said come back after 12 months:
If you’re over 35 — 6 months is the guideline. If you have irregular cycles, known PMOS, endometriosis, or previous loss — don’t wait at all. Time is not neutral in this process.
