Will breast implants sag over time
A small amount of change over time can happen and it depends on factors like the implant type, your tissues, ageing, and placement.

Rough textured implants are used less today because they may feel and behave less naturally, for example they may not be as soft. They can also rarely be associated with longer term issues related to greater tissue irritation, so they are generally reserved for selected situations.

In many cases, placing the implant partly under the muscle in a dual plane position can provide better support and may reduce the degree of visible sag compared to above muscle placement, depending on your anatomy.

Before you decide on double eyelid surgery, make sure you are treating the right problem.

A “droopy eyelid” can come from different causes
Some have extra skin that folds over the lid
Some have ptosis blepharoptosis where the eyelid lifting mechanism is weak or the tendon has stretched or detached
Some are unconsciously raising the brows to keep the eyes open

That is why the best first step is an examination, not a guess from photos. If ptosis is present, correcting it addresses the underlying reason the lid sits low and it can often be done together with double eyelid surgery when appropriate.

If your eyelids look droopy, double eyelid surgery is not always the full answer.

Some people have underlying ptosis blepharoptosis where the eyelid lifting mechanism is weak or stretched. In that situation, creating a crease alone may make the eyes look slightly brighter, but the droop can remain.

The right first step is an assessment to confirm whether it is excess skin or true ptosis. If ptosis is present, it can often be corrected together with double eyelid surgery for a more open, balanced result.

Football competitions demand more than speed and stamina. Two things that can quietly hold players back are breathing and vision.

If you are constantly mouth breathing during matches, feel blocked on one side, or have a history of nose injury, it may be more than “just allergy” and can affect comfort during high intensity games.

And if your upper lids feel heavy, one eye looks more droopy, or your field of view feels partially covered, it is worth checking for underlying eyelid droop such as ptosis.

A droopy upper eyelid is not always just a cosmetic concern. In ptosis (also called blepharoptosis), the eyelid can sit lower than normal and in some cases reduce the original field of vision.

Ptosis can happen for a few reasons
-the lifting muscle is weak
-the nerve to the muscle has a problem
-most commonly, the muscle’s tendon (aponeurosis) becomes frayed or detached

✨ What ptosis surgery does
Ptosis surgery focuses on repairing the lifting mechanism. We go in surgically to repair the aponeurosis that is frayed or detached, and use permanent sutures to secure it so the eyelid can open more fully again, helping to restore a more natural lid position and the original field of vision.

If you notice a persistently droopy lid, uneven eyes, or heavy lids that affect daily comfort, a proper assessment helps confirm the cause and the right approach.
