On Saturday, MenToo launched, and men's groups across Singapore signed the MenToo Charter together.

Today The Straits Times published this: "Abused husbands in S’pore who are unseen" ; this we know first hand. That is why on Saturday, MenToo needed to become real.

To every group, every man, and everyone who showed up: thank you. To Eric Chua, thank you for being here. The charter is signed. Now the real work begins.

This 6 June, we launch MenToo.

MenToo is a research-informed movement and think-tank dedicated to the mental health, relational wellbeing, and life outcomes of men, as individuals, husbands, fathers, and members of their communities.

We started MenToo for a simple reason. Men's realities are too often under-researched, misunderstood, or oversimplified, and support that genuinely reaches men strengthens families, children, and society as a whole.

Founded by Amicus and launched together with the men's community group Bros Before Woes , MenToo brings men's groups across Singapore into one shared effort: to be a steady, united voice for men, and to make it easier for men to seek help and support one another.

The launch also marks new research collaborations with Murdoch University on men's issues, so that what we advocate is grounded in evidence, not assumption.

We are honoured to welcome Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Law and for Social and Family Development, as our Guest of Honour.

Divorce may change many things.

But your child still needs their father.

They still need:
❤️ your reassurance,
❤️ your consistency,
❤️ your wisdom,
❤️ your time,
❤️ your love.

Do not underestimate the lifelong impact of remaining emotionally present.

🟢 Even when the process is painful.
🟢 Even when co-parenting is difficult.
🟢 Even when rebuilding feels exhausting.

Stay..
💪🏼 Steady,
💪🏼 Involved, and constantly,
💪🏼 Growing.

Your children are watching how you navigate adversity.

And one of the greatest gifts you can give them is this:

🎉 A father who stayed. 🎊

One day, your children will remember this season.

Not only what happened, but who you became during it.

Will they remember:
⁉️ a father consumed by bitterness? or
⁉️ a father who remained steady, loving, and present despite hardship?

Legacy is not built in dramatic moments alone.

It is built through ordinary daily choices:

💪🏼 patience,
💪🏼 consistency,
💪🏼 emotional maturity,
💪🏼 responsibility, and
💪🏼 love.

Your character during adversity teaches lessons your children may carry into adulthood and parenthood themselves.

The greatest legacy a father can leave is not perfection.

It is faithful presence.

Sometimes the easiest response after divorce is emotional withdrawal.

But your children still need you.

They need:
👉🏼 your guidance,
👉🏼 your encouragement,
👉🏼 your boundaries,
👉🏼 your attention,
👉🏼 your involvement.

Continue showing up:

💪🏼 for school events,
💪🏼 for conversations,
💪🏼 for milestones,
💪🏼 for ordinary moments.

Presence requires effort, especially when emotions are complicated.

But involved fathers leave lasting emotional security in their children’s lives.

Even when co-parenting feels difficult, remain committed to connection.

Children rarely benefit when fathers disappear emotionally.

✅ Stay engaged.
✅ Stay intentional.
✅ Stay connected.

Divorce is something you went through.
It is not who you are.

Do not allow one painful chapter to define your entire identity as a man.

You are still capable of:

💪🏼 growth,
💪🏼 purpose,
💪🏼 leadership,
💪🏼 healthy relationships,
💪🏼 meaningful fatherhood,
💪🏼 and rebuilding your life.

Many men remain emotionally trapped in their worst season because they stop believing in their future.

But endings can also become beginnings.

❤️ Rebuild intentionally.
❤️ Grow intentionally.
❤️ Heal intentionally.

Your story is still being written.

And your children benefit deeply when they see a father who rises with maturity after hardship.

Not every battle is worth winning.

Sometimes, prolonged conflict costs children their peace, stability, and emotional safety.

When hurt and pride drive decision-making, families suffer longer than necessary.

Before reacting, pause and ask:
“Is this helping my child, or feeding my ego?”

There is a difference between protecting your parental role and pursuing revenge.

Wise fathers prioritise:

* long-term relationships,
* emotional stability,
* respectful co-parenting,
* and child-focused decisions.

Children thrive when parents reduce unnecessary hostility.

Leadership means thinking beyond the moment.

Your child’s emotional future is more valuable than temporary emotional victories.
