This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude and remembrance for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

At Harbor Regional Health, we honor the sacrifices made by our military members and their families, and we extend our deepest appreciation to all who have served.

As we gather with loved ones this weekend, may we take a moment to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness that Memorial Day represents. 🇺🇸

From all of us at Harbor Regional Health, thank you.

Please join us in celebrating Katie Cornell, Cardiopulmonary the Beacon Award recipient for May 2026!

Here is what was said about Katie
Taking time with a patient undergoing a major, high risk surgery to make the patient feel comfortable. Very kind interaction that had a clear positive effect on the patient.

From her Director
While Katie is a newer employee with the department, it comes as no surprise to see her nominated for a Beacon Award. Katie is the definition of “team player”. Within her first few months with us as a new grad RT she’s learned TWO charting systems, our entire outpatient process, and she’s already shown to be an excellent teacher further advancing our RT and nursing students. A lot was asked of Katie from the start, and she handled every request with professionalism and an optimistic outlook. She’s quick to offer help to her co-workers, and her patients truly benefit from her thorough eye and attention to detail. We’re all so excited for Katie’s future as she continues to establish herself as a skilled practitioner, and I’m so proud of her for everything she’s accomplished so far.

Katie receive the following:
• Beacon Award lanyard and Lighting the Way Pin
• Framed Certificate with the poem about lighthouses-the symbol of the Beacon Award
• Parking space for a month
• Some of her “favorite things

Katie will be put into the running for our 2026 Lighting the Way Legend Award. Thank you for lighting the way and congratulations!

Happy Hospital Week!

When most people think of Harbor Regional Health, they obviously think of healthcare, doctors, nurses, emergency care, and new born babies.

But HRH is also the second largest employer in Grays Harbor County. More importantly, it is made up of people from our community, your friends, family, and neighbors. They are the true heart of Harbor Regional Health

This Hospital Week, we want to thank all of you for everything you do. Thank you for the long hours, the compassion, the teamwork, and the care you provide our patients and community every day.

We are deeply grateful for all that you do to help us heal, comfort, and serve our community with dignity and compassion.

Please join us in celebrating the incredible nurses of Harbor Regional Health and the compassion, dedication, and heart they bring to our patients and community every day.

Throughout Nurses Week, our Nursing Administration team traveled across multiple shifts and departments to help celebrate with handcrafted mocktails, including an orange margarita with jalapeños and Tajín, and a strawberry mojito with fresh mint. The celebration continued with tacos on May 5 and pizza on May 8, shared with teams across the organization as we also celebrated the launch of Meditech Expanse.

While the food and drinks were enjoyed by many across HRH, the week was rooted in gratitude for our nurses and the extraordinary work they do each day. Whether comforting patients, supporting families, responding in emergencies, coordinating care, or simply being a steady and reassuring presence, our nurses help heal, comfort, and serve in countless ways.

Thank you to every nurse across Harbor Regional Health. We are deeply grateful for all that you do.

Please join us in celebrating the incredible nurses serving our community across Harbor Regional Health as we begin Nurses Week and honor National Nurses Day.

Every day, our nurses help heal, comfort, and serve our patients with dignity and compassion. Nurses are there for both life’s hardest moments and most meaningful milestones, providing expert care, with reassurance, kindness, and hope.

Whether at the bedside, in our clinics, in surgery, the emergency department, Family Birth Center, infusion services, wound care, or countless other areas across our organization, our nurses make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Today, and every day, we are deeply grateful for everything you do. Thank you for your commitment to our patients, our community, and each other.

Happy Nurses Day, and thank you to every nurse who helps make Harbor Regional Health what it is. 💙💚
