Today is International Day Against Drug Misuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Stigma can be one of the biggest barriers preventing people from seeking help for substance use. When people fear judgment, shame, or discrimination, they are less likely to reach out for treatment and support.

Here's how you can help reduce stigma:
➡️ Lead with compassion
➡️ Recognize that drug dependence is a medical condition that deserves treatment and support
➡️ Speak up when you see someone being treated unfairly because of their substance use history

Recovery starts with understanding, and every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to heal.
