Susan L. Benovich, 83, of Allentown, passed away May 19, 2026. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Madea) Benovich. Susan had been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafting, watching QVC, collecting Longenberger Baskets and had a special talent for color coordinating items. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors: sisters- Frances Koncsics and husband Thomas, Carol Anthony, Rita Blum, Joan Myers and husband Walter, and many nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday May 23rd at 11:00AM in St John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Susan’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.

Dolores A. Walbert, 84, of Allentown, passed away May 20, 2026. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kleinschuster) Blaukovitch. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. Dolores retired from many years of service for McDonalds. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: children- Deborah Kidd and husband Albert, Ronnie Walbert; grandchildren- William Kidd and Crystle Smith; great grandchildren- Matthew, Samuel, Lilly-Anne, Johnny and Jackson. She was predeceased by her brother- Joseph Blaukovitch.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00AM in Cedar Hill Memorial Park 1700 Airport Rd. Allentown, PA 18109. *Please meet at the rear entrance (Irving St.) to be led to the grave.* Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Emma (Senar) Focht, 85, of Allentown, passed away May 17, 2026. Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Mary Senar. Emma retired from Western Electric/ Lucent. She enjoyed polka music and dancing. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: daughter- Audrey Hetten-Steigerwalt and her husband Cort Steigerwalt, grandsons- Austin Steigerwalt, Robert Hetten, daughter- Connie Smith and granddaughter- Kristin Ortiz. She was predeceased by her sisters- Jean Sommers, Dorothy Hudak and brothers- John, Joseph and her twin Andrew.

Mary (Lorenz) Panik, 91, of Allentown, passed away May 4, 2026. She was the wife of the late George A. Panik. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Kometick) Lorenz. Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time shopping and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: son- James Panik, daughter- Sharon Laudenslager and husband James, grandchildren- Sarah Rose, Elisa, Aaron, James Laudenslager Jr. and Liana, brother- John Lorenz and wife Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her sisters- Patricia Flynn and Ilona Leanch.
A Calling Time will be held Friday, May 15th 10:30-11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM all in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Entombment to follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

Joseph Minarovic Jr., 83, of Allentown, passed away April 24, 2026. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Anna and Joseph Minarovic, Sr. He graduated from Dieruff High School and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Joseph retired from Phoebe Senior Living. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. He enjoyed frequenting the Whitehall Diner and Hops at the Paddock where he made many friends. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors: brother- Raymond Minarovic and his wife Elizabeth, nephew- Raymond Minarovic Jr.

A Calling Time will be held on Friday, May 1st 12-1PM with a Service at 1PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Whitehall.

Charlotte A. Magliane, 83, peacefully passed away on Friday April 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was happily married to Angelo J. Magliane III for 48 years, prior to his passing in 2010. Born in Allentown, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Ellison Sr. and Dorothy (Youngkin) Beers. She was a graduate of Dieruff High School, class of 1961. Charlotte began her career working for Spiegel Catalog in the Collections Dept, then was a teachers aide at Ritter Elementary School, Sears Dept Store in the collections department and then retired as a bank teller from People's First FCU. Charlotte cherished time spent with her family and friends, whether it was going to breakfast or lunch, the movies and concerts, or attending the Iron Pigs games, having picnics and rooting on the Philadelphia Eagles. She found joy in simple pleasures like playing cards or bingo, always surrounded by those she loved. She held a special place in her heart for her Dachshunds and Australian Shepherd, loving them deeply. Her warmth, kindness, and love for those around her will be carried on in the hearts of all who knew her. Surviving are her sons: Todd J. Magliane and his wife Kelly and Craig A. Magliane and his companion Nikki Rollier. Brother: Ellison Beers Jr. and his late wife Margaret. Granddaughter: Kayla Lewis. Services will be 11AM on Thursday April 16, 2026, at Kohut Funeral Home, in Allentown. Calling Hours will be 9-11AM in the Funeral Home.

Sarah M. (Krasnansky) Perun, 95, of Allentown, passed away March 23, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Perun. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Strapak) Krasnansky. Sarah retired from Sears Dept. Store after 25 years of service. She was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. Sarah enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bowling, but most of all she cherished her time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Michael Perun and wife Susan of Breinigsville, Mary Anne Schneck and husband David of Myrtle Beach, Carol Lenhart and husband Don Steager of Laurys Station; grandchildren- Erin, Lindsey, Trevor, Jacob, Abbey, Stephen, Matthew, Joshua, Nathan and Thomas; great grandchildren- Graham, Addison, Bradley, Eloise, Mia, Brady and Emma. She was predeceased by 3 brothers.
A Calling Time will be held 9-10AM Monday, March 30th with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10AM in St John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Richard “Dick” Weber, 77, of Coplay, passed away March 22, 2026. He was the loving husband of 29 years to Linda L. (Eckhart) Weber. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Alex and Adele (Schuler) Weber. Dick served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Lappawinzo Rod & Gun Club and the Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club in Northampton. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, camping, boating and making wine with his wife. He especially enjoyed DIY projects including home improvement projects, even building onto his own home. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: wife- Linda Weber; children- Lori Baldwin, Colleen MacLaughlin and husband Patrick, Richard Weber; step- daughters- Cynthia Seyler and partner Jason Orth, Lisa Kranch and spouse Emma Kranch; grandchildren- Evan Dietrich, Ashlee Berger, Nicole Fix, Kylee Weber, Lisa Hensley; sisters- Kathy White and Darlene Weber. Dick was predeceased by his grandson- Michael Fix and his late wife- Ann Weber.

idney Edwards, Jr., 85, of Allentown, passed away February 23, 2026. Born in Oviedo, FL he was the son of the late Sidney Edwards, Sr. Sidney worked for many years as a farmer before his retirement. He liked watching basketball, especially the 76ers and the Lakers. Sidney enjoyed reading, playing solitaire and dominos but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors: children- Jeremiah Deprill, Jennifer (Deprill) Haldeman and husband Terry, Jason Deprill; 3 grandchildren; sister- Ernestine Floyd.
Services will be Private for the family care of Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

John M Rosenberger, 69 of Allentown passed away February 16, 2026. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Ralph and Ann (Virva) Rosenberger.
John was a proud graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School class of 74. After graduation he did his undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame where he earned his degree in Biology and was also a proud member of the Notre Dame marching band.
During a gap year while he was contemplating attending law school, he returned to his Alma Mater seeking short term employment as a biology teacher. The principal had one opening as a Physics teacher, and he accepted. While teaching, he enrolled in the Pennsylvania teaching certification program, earning level I and II certifications in physics, biology and general science. He followed this by earning his M.Ed. in biology from DeSales University.
He was inducted into the Allentown Central Catholic High School “Rockne Wall of Fame” in 2016 for his continued work in supporting both the academic and sporting pursuits of the school. In 2023, he was the recipient of Central Catholic’s Semper Fidelis Award. Following his retirement in 2023, he was also a member of the Capital Campaign Cabinet and the Central Catholic Board. He later joined the faculty of Notre Dame High School, Green Pond, as a part time physics/general science teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, sister Colette and husband Peter Chandonnet of Solvang, CA, niece Allison Stevens-Robbins and husband Chip, nephews Timothy Stevens and fiancé Kristin Haines of Winwood, PA, Tucker and wife Nancy Stevens of Wilmington, NC, Great nephews Harison and wife Kate Stevens, Philip Stevens, Drew and Matthew Stevens, Jack Chandonnet, and the proud Keenan Ducks. He was predeceased by his sister Anita and her husband J Timothy Stevens.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 24th 6-8 PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102, and Wednesday 9-10 AM in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.
