Burwell is checking in. 🫏
This week’s question is simple, but maybe not easy:
What is one thing you need less of this week?
Less pressure?
Less overthinking?
Less saying yes when you mean no?
Less carrying everyone else’s emotions?

You do not have to solve everything today. Sometimes healing starts with noticing what has been too heavy. Burwell votes for less self-criticism and more snacks, but he is admittedly biased.

Drop one word in the comments or just hold the answer quietly for yourself today.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we hope you carry this reminder with you:

You are worth caring for when you’re doing well.
You are worth caring for when you’re struggling.
You are worth caring for when you’re tired, overwhelmed, anxious, grieving, burned out, or trying to hold everything together.

Your mental health is not a once-a-year conversation.
It is part of your whole health.

Thank you for spending this month with us, sharing, reading, saving, and helping keep the conversation going. 💚

We’ll continue showing up here with encouragement, education, Burwell check-ins, and reminders that support is available close to home.

If one post this month helped you, share it with someone who may need it too.

Mental Health Awareness Month is coming to a close, but the message does not end here. 💚

Mental health matters all year long.

It matters when life feels manageable.
It matters when stress starts building.
It matters when sleep changes, emotions feel heavy, anxiety gets loud, or you no longer feel like yourself.
It matters before things become a crisis.

At Langford Behavioral Health, we believe mental health conversations should feel normal, honest, and welcome in our communities.

So even when May ends, we’ll keep showing up here with support, education, encouragement, and reminders that asking for help is not weakness.

You are not alone.
You do not have to wait until you’re at your breaking point.
Support is still here. 💚

What is one mental health reminder you want to carry with you into June?

Burwell would like to formally request kinder self-talk this week. 🫏

A lot of people speak to themselves in ways they would never speak to someone they love. Constant criticism. Pressure. Guilt. Feeling like they should always be doing more, handling more, being more.

But healing, growth, and getting through hard seasons become even harder when your inner voice is constantly working against you.

You deserve patience too.
You deserve grace too.
You deserve compassion too.

The way you speak to yourself matters more than you think.

So this week, try talking to yourself like someone worth caring for. Because you are.

This is a great resource!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

At Langford Behavioral Health, we also recognize that Memorial Day can carry many emotions for veterans, military families, first responders, and loved ones who are grieving.

For some, this weekend brings remembrance, reflection, loss, sadness, gratitude, or memories that feel heavy.

If this time of year is difficult for you, please know you are not alone.

Take care of yourself this weekend:
• step away when needed
• check in with loved ones
• allow space for emotions
• reach out for support if needed

There is strength in honoring both remembrance and mental health.

Today, we remember.
