When several symptoms are happening at once, it can be difficult to explain the full picture during a short appointment.

You may be dealing with disrupted sleep, fatigue, brain fog, digestive changes, weight or body-composition changes, mood shifts, pain or lower desire—while still hearing that your laboratory results look “normal.”

The Vitalis Women’s Health Reset is a six-week live online educational program designed to help you organize that information and prepare clearer questions for your healthcare conversations.

The program includes:

• A structured intake and symptom assessment
• A health tracker and medical-visit journal
• Weekly live education and practical action steps
• Guidance for organizing existing laboratory results
• Questions to take to your healthcare appointments
• Live Q&A and session replays
• An individualized next-step plan
• Optional discounted laboratory testing when appropriate

Program details:

Begins October 13, 2026
Live online from 7:00–8:00 PM Eastern
Six-week program with replay access

Many women come to Vitalis knowing that something has changed—but they’re having trouble explaining how all the pieces fit together.

Sleep may be disrupted. Energy drops in the afternoon. Weight or body composition changes. Brain fog, digestive symptoms, pain, mood changes or lower desire may appear at the same time.

One symptom—or one laboratory result—rarely explains that entire experience.

At Vitalis, we help organize the information:

• What changed first
• Which symptoms appear together
• When symptoms improve or worsen
• What medications, supplements or life changes may be relevant
• What existing labs can and cannot tell us
• What questions may need to be discussed with the appropriate licensed healthcare professional

This isn’t about forcing every symptom into one diagnosis. It’s about creating a clearer timeline, recognizing meaningful patterns and deciding on a practical next step.

Start with the Highlights above to learn more about our approach. Current programs and ways to work with Vitalis are available through the link in the bio.

Educational information and integrative health consulting do not replace individualized medical diagnosis or treatment.

If you’re new here, I’m Kimberly Petree, founder of Vitalis Health Solutions.

I help women 38+ make sense of changes in sleep, energy, focus, digestion, weight, mood, libido, and pain—especially when they’ve been told their labs look “normal.”

Something I’ve learned is that one symptom rarely tells the whole story. I like to slow things down and look at the pattern:

What changed first?
What symptoms appear together?
What makes them better or worse?
What do the labs explain—and what might they miss?

Here, I share practical education about midlife hormone changes, sleep, fatigue, brain fog, metabolic health, stress patterns, inflammation, and digestion.

I won’t diagnose anyone from a post or comment. My goal is to help women describe what they’re experiencing more clearly and prepare better questions for the appropriate licensed healthcare professional.

Start with the Highlights above. Then use the link in my bio to see the current ways to work with Vitalis.

I’m glad you’re here.

Biotin is commonly included in hair, skin, and nail supplements. It may interfere with some thyroid laboratory methods even though it has not changed the person’s actual thyroid function.

Before bloodwork, give the ordering clinician and laboratory the product name, biotin dose, and time it was last taken. Ask for instructions rather than applying a universal pause period.

An unusual result isn’t automatically caused by biotin. Laboratory interference is one possibility to consider when the numbers don’t fit the rest of the clinical picture.

Before thyroid bloodwork, check any supplement marketed for hair, skin, or nails.

Many contain biotin. Biotin doesn’t necessarily alter thyroid function, but it can interfere with certain laboratory methods. Depending on the assay, this may produce a result that appears falsely high or falsely low.

Before testing, document:

* The product name
* Biotin amount per serving
* Your daily dose
* When you last took it
* Other supplements and medications
* Whether previous results were inconsistent

Tell both the ordering clinician and the laboratory. Ask whether the product should be paused and for how long. There isn’t one appropriate washout period for every dose, test, and laboratory platform.

An unexpected result is not automatically biotin interference. It should be considered when the laboratory pattern doesn’t fit the symptoms, history, or other findings.

If you’d like to check, does your hair supplement list biotin—and at what dose?

Your period does not have to disappear before perimenopause begins.

For some women, the earlier changes look like:

• Periods arriving earlier, later, heavier, or lighter
• New hot flashes or night sweats
• Sleep that suddenly feels less restorative
• Vaginal dryness or changes in sexual desire
• Mood changes that feel unfamiliar

These symptoms deserve attention—but they do not automatically prove that perimenopause is the cause. Thyroid conditions, anemia, medications, pregnancy, and other health concerns can produce overlapping symptoms.

Start documenting the pattern:

✓ Cycle dates and bleeding changes
✓ Sleep quality
✓ Hot flashes or night sweats
✓ Mood changes
✓ Vaginal or urinary symptoms

Your symptom timeline can help your healthcare provider see what a single laboratory result may not explain.

What was the first change you noticed—your cycle, sleep, mood, or temperature?

Save this post for your next appointment. If you’re ready for a more comprehensive evaluation, message Vitalis “CLARITY” for appointment information.
